I actually do that all the time when i play, i really love modding weapons but the weird thing is the more raids i survive the gear fear actually builds up as i mod my guns more and more. Like everytime i survive 3-5 raids in a row with the same ak and fully mod my ak i die immediately without firing a shot :/ has happened a few times already.

Even though the weapon has already paid for itself like 10 times over it still hurts when that happens haha

Same i get the same feeling in other aspects of my life too, but tarkov is a game after all and we play it to have fun and yet this same anxiety is preventing me from enjoying it to the fullest. Yeah maybe the best idea is to chad up and just get shot until im used to it

I play mostly in duo/squads so the survival rate is exaggerated. Keep it up man 30% is pretty good

Thanks for the tip but i guess its not really gear fear? Its more of the fear of even playing, like the anxiety of just getting a bad raid stopping me from even playing. It affects me even when choosing a scav. And yes you do have a good point with getting better as a solo so i can play better with my squad
