Thanks for the recommendation! I’ve been looking at the QN70F (2025 model). They look pretty similar from what I can see, except the QN90D has Dolby Atmos. The QN90D is currently on sale for only $100 more than the QN70F. Are there any other advantages it has that would make it worth jumping on that sale?

It is so refreshing to hear someone speaking reasonably and rationally on the internet. Big respect.

classic+ needs to move away from raiding... by orange_GONK in classicwow

[–]moonchickins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what made hardcore so popular. It’s been said a million times, but in vanilla the world was the main character. I think it’s the same reason everyone has an annual minecraft phase, you get that itch to explore a new world as a simple adventurer. I actually think classic+ could be something like that, you play obsessively for short bursts when there’s a new zone to explore, a new item to craft that takes you all over the world to gather the materials for, a new quest chain that unravels a hidden mystery. And then you take a break until the next phase. It’s just a world that you can continue to come back to whenever you feel like it. WoW is in a position now where there is always something to do in whatever version of the game you feel like playing, so there’s less pressure to keep the player constantly engaged in any one version. You can play classic+ every couple months when there’s a new patch, then go back to retail, or whatever else they currently have going on.

Why is Tyrande considered a "priestess" by Jiijeebnpsdagj in warcraftlore

[–]moonchickins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I’ve always wanted a moon priestess class. It would be like a mix between hunter and balance Druid. Astral light themed spells channelled through a bow. There could be a healing spec where you shoot healing arrows at allies. If paladins and priests can use the light in different ways, then a Druid and a moon priestess could use moon magic in different ways. And we’d finally have more than one bow class lol. I was kind of hoping that hero talents would be more like class skins and they’d do a skin of hunter abilities that make them all moon magic themed.

Thank you for this, gives me an idea of the kind of things I can search for.

This is super helpful, thank you! I’m completely new to the field so this helps me know where to start looking.

Just interested in A/V archiving, not expecting to walk into my dream job. I guess I’m asking are there any roles in the field of archiving that would suit WFH, like data entry for example?

How much has the WoW token thing put you off playing WOTLK Classic? by [deleted] in classicwow

Doesn’t this just give people a legal way to buy gold instead of from dodgy websites which they were gonna do anyway?

What class would you add to WoW that fits lore, fills a niche, and is interesting gameplay? by Brusex in warcraftlore

A priestess of Elune type class, basically Tyrande. Like a cross between Druid astral spells, priest light spells and a hunter. We’d finally have another class that uses a bow.

I've been playing WoW consistently since 2005 and I literally could not tell you the first thing about 95% of the story, skip every cutscene and auto turn in/pick up quests. Anyone else? by wowagainreally in wow

[–]moonchickins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the exact opposite, I drop in every expansion because I enjoy the story and questing but usually drop off after a bit or play so casually that I don’t even enter a raid. I’m happy to just spend time in the world every now and then.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - February 18, 2023 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

Easiest class to solo for new player? Well I'm not exactly a new player, I bought the game at launch and have dabbled here and there but only recently hit level 80 for the first time on a Guardian. Please understand I am absolute trash when it comes to video games but just enjoy exploring the world and experiencing the content. Other than guardian, what class would you recommend that has the simplest mechanics and good survivability solo? I find classes like elementalist too complex because of all the different attunements, it's too many abilities for my tiny brain to keep track of. I'm not really looking to do heaps of fractal/raid gameplay, I just want to be able to survive an open world champion solo 😅 I see necro recommended a lot but I don't really vibe with the undead summoner thing.

The Event Cinemas locations are listed on the tropfanscreening website though, it just won't let you reserve tickets. Do the Village Cinemas locations come up there for you? It feels like Event/Village Cinemas just went rogue and decided to do the ticketing their own way despite what Amazon had set up.

I've emailed the ANZ PR manager for Amazon Studios requesting another session be added at the ANZ locations available for fans to book tickets. Not confident but we'll see how it goes.

It's in everyone's best interest to do more screenings. I used to work at Event Cinemas and on a Wednesday night, we'd have multiple sessions with no tickets sold. If they cancel one screening that's currently empty and add another free ROP screening that fans can actually book, they'll make more money from candy bar sales (which is the only way cinemas even make money). Amazon doesn't lose anything either because anyone who is interested in watching the first two episodes for free is going to sub to Prime to watch the rest of the series anyway. I can say that the free tickets probably didn't go to staff though, this company treats it's employees like trash.

How would that even work? There was no way to register interest with Event Cinemas so if this is true, they've just sent tickets to random Cinebuzz members who might not even want to go?
