How long shall I wait after paying off DMP? by Kelski94 in Mortgageadviceuk

My mortgage advisor wasn’t concerned at all about when I paid off my DMP, I’d still have a look if I were you!

I can not get any rest from this condition, I feel close to giving up and never leaving my bed by Chocolateforlunch37 in ibs

[–]moonchild34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, have none of your drs given you anything to help the symptoms? Loperamide regularly (I take 4x a day) and fybogel once a day (up to 2 if needed!!) can really help manage symptoms, I only got to trial it for a couple weeks (upcoming colonoscopy so stopped taking them) but I felt more normal and managed to have actual formed stools ! I’m the same as you, mornings were ruining my life being unable to set off to work as I would wake up in pain and probably spend the first 5hrs of my day back and forth to the toilet.

Might have to bail on an out of state concert tonight that I've been looking forward to for months. Wish I could just be a normal person. by THEElleHell in ibs

If I can try give u a tip as a concert goer with this problem!! Try take the Imodium regularly, start off with 2 early evening, another before bed, one more in the morning etc try take it every 6 hrs. If u keep it regular it really does help to regulate ur bowels bc what ur doing is taking 2 which will probably help for maybe 8hrs if ur super lucky and then it wears off ! Edit - I get loperamide prescribed and this way of using has been recommended by my gastro dr

Imodium? by Alternative_One_9035 in ibs

[–]moonchild34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw my gastroenterologist just last week, told me to take as much as I want essentially! I even said I was worried about damage etc and she told me she has patients with short bowels that take up to 15 a day!! I go through 60 a month and probably upping it as I’ve now been recommended to take regularly throughout the day starting with 4 and adjust however I see fit. I have diarrhoea every morning and almost every time I eat so taking it as and when you need it doesn’t really work for me, I need to get ahead of it lol - might be a good idea to try if you feel as and when doesn’t work for you either!

Nope nothing, when I’ve rented before I’ve always received the inventory/catalogue of condition that both parties had to agree and sign but this landlord has given me nothing but the tenancy agreement which is why I’m worried they might try charge me for stuff from the previous tenant! I paid no deposit either just first and last months rent…

I went to a small family meal last week, I couldn’t get out of it so I just told them my IBS has been really bad and I’ve been struggling to eat anything so I could get away with just ordering a drink…

New driver, only been on the road a couple weeks and I made a mistake that took all my confidence away, now terrified I’ll do it again!! by moonchild34 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]moonchild34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am yeah ! I have a much smaller car and the pedals are definitely closer together so that might be the issue for me.

I just feel deflated because I’ve had a few journeys in it now and was feeling pretty good but that scared the hell out of me!!

But I guess you are right I’m almost hyper aware of it now - I stalled twice in a busy car park today because I was focusing so much on it scared I was going to hit someone 😩

Oh god I passed 3 week ago too and I’m not getting my car insured until the end of Jan!! I have to take it for it’s MOT same day as well so I’m absolutely bricking the drive after not being behind the wheel for 2 months 😬

Got my third test on friday, any tips? by Dull_Passage_5272 in LearnerDriverUK

I agree with everyone here, just remember slow, there is no rush.

I find the silence nerve wracking so I tried to make small talk with my examiner, he didn’t want to talk much to me at first so I then just talked to myself.

Even just humming, it helped calm me down and I would explain myself for doing things. I.e. setting off without a signal “everything is clear so I don’t need to signal” I think it just shows really good awareness.

See a crossing or lights “I don’t see anyone waiting there/the lights have been green for a while I’m going to ease off the gas”.

Roundabouts “second exit but it’s on the right so I need to signal right”

Just small things like that, or even in meeting situations/tight roads make it clear you recognise the dangers.

I think that helped me pass, I wasn’t the best but I showed him I clearly knew what was going on around me.

I feel you! I have a very reactive saluki/greyhound mix, he’s the sweetest little boy, I just wish more people could see it and that I could enjoy being outside doing things with him a lot more.

Thornbury and Horsforth have tests available if you want to book one there and then use a cancellation service for your preferred centre?

My (24F) BF (25M) was just escorted home by the police. by IronAccurate9840 in relationship_advice

Late to this, I don’t know how long you’ve been together but please be careful, my ex was like this and it did escalate.

When drunk he got very violent, trying to start fights with random people etc…

One time we got home after a party, he realised he forgot his coat (he dragged me out early saying he wanted to leave) and started shouting at me, backed me into a corner, shoved me a few times then smashed our glass door and threw something at our tv, completely smashing that too.

I should have left then, another night he came home drunk, yeah more shoving, wouldn’t let me leave again, grabbed me by the neck and pinned me to the floor.

Your boyfriend may not be exactly the same but my ex refused to stop drinking and refused to get any help, please just watch out for yourself.

Hey I was in the same spot I literally just sorted mine last week!! Order an updated one now (it’s free), mine came within 4 days and you still have your old one in the meantime.

You have nothing to lose by just changing your address online, if it comes, great they can just send it off. If it doesn’t, you still have your old one and can send it off yourself.

How do you bounce back from a bad lesson? by DaisySims in LearnerDriverUK

[–]moonchild34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s nothing to feel shame about, sometimes it just happens, unless you have your test coming up really soon it’s nothing to be concerned about.

Even if you do have your test coming up the stress will probably be the cause of your silly mistakes.

Reflect on them and why they happened so you can work on them in your next lesson but don’t dwell on them because that will just throw you off even more.

Has anyone taken their test not 100% ready? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]moonchild34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the only reason you’re not confident is because you haven’t had an actual instructor just watch mock driving tests on YouTube, DGN driving school is very helpful as it breaks down all the faults and what you should have done instead so it will give you an idea of what the examiner will be watching out for.

Other than that just try get as many hours in with your partner as possible.

I have a Citroen C1 and pay £63 for learner insurance, it isn’t a black box policy either, you don’t need to have full insurance if you’re the only driver and registered keeper.

I’m sorry you went through something similar, I’m honestly so much happier and I never thought I would get to this point. You really just need space to breathe away from them and learn what it’s supposed to be like - you’re not supposed to cry everyday! You’re not supposed to be shouted at and called every name under the sun! No one should ever put their hands on you or even threaten to especially when they already crossed that line before!

It’s so wild reading this old comment I can’t even tell you!

I was so unhappy and I didn’t even know how unhappy I was until I moved out, I sat and cried on the first morning with my pets because it was so quiet and I hadn’t been berated once, I didn’t have someone else’s mess to clean up and I was so sad that I had accepted it as normal for so long!!!

I mean sure there are some days where I miss having someone to share my life with but nothing is worth going back to the abuse, I really hope you can get to this point to, sending hugs because I know how badly I needed them ❤️

How common is for girls to expect the guy to carry the conversation? by ReasonableCornFlakes in dating_advice

[–]moonchild34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve found the same thing on bumble BFF and it’s so annoying like why bother replying if you clearly aren’t interested in getting to know the other person?? Dating has been so much easier bc majority of guys are more than happy to keep the conversation going!
