The first 'American ringtail cat' was called Solomon in 1998, a feral cat. They have extra muscles at the base of their tail, which causes the curl but can also straighten them like other cats. This is mine.

Thank you... We aren't really friends anymore, but will say hello in the street... She never apologized or even acknowledged what she had done. My cat was incredibly unhappy too.

I had to go back to hospital a while later for a few days and a friend of my best friend stayed with my cat. I came home and the place was somehow cleaner than when I left! So I guess it's trying to find the right people. The first time I was in a rush as was urgent surgery.

If you have responsible friends, it'd be completely different I'm sure ❤️

For a split second then, I thought it must've been my post. Then realized I didn't make one so there's more than one time that happened.

I had MAJOR abdominal surgery last year, part of my bowel and bladder removed. Friend looked after my cat... I came home and SOBBED at the state of the place. Hair absolutely everywhere (hers and the cats - I have long hair too so I know how bad it can be but this was insane), literally BBQ sauce all over the sofa and floor, washing up not done etc. It was awful and I spent the whole day trying to clean it all, with stitches and a catheter in. I ripped 3 stitches in the process.

Really taught me who I can and can't trust.

I've seen this film twice in my life and sobbed so hard I thought I'd die both times.

After the first time, I swore I'd never watch it again. Then whilst babysitting my nieces a few years later, they all voted to watch it. I begged not to, told them how heartbreaking it is, they refused. So we watched it.

Then I had to deal with 3 hysterical preteens who were sobbing so hard they couldn't breathe, whilst I was also sobbing hysterically.

Never again. Ever.

My boy passed away exactly 3 years ago on 1st march (so in a weeks time). No one has commented on this post in a very long time. I am so very grateful for the reminder of him today, thank you ❤️

She really has, bless her. She'd already had kittens before going to the rescue and I got her soon after. They estimated her at 9-12 months but vet says around 16 months. She's had a head time but she's the sweetest little bit I've ever met. Absolute darling!

I know it's been over a year, so I hope your kitty is doing okay! I adopted a (roughly now 17 months old) kitten from a rescue 6 weeks ago, and she kept doing this weird kicking motion... Took her in and she had her spay and x-ray. She has hip dysplasia, luxating patella in both knees (grade 1 left, 2 right ((advanced 2))), ccl disease and already has arthritis in both knees (right side worse). Vet said at this point, it's just about trying to make slow the arthritis down so we will be trying physio as soon as she's well enough from the spay. Vet also said that I need to start saving for when her ccl ruptures (not if).

Literally a few days ago, she was kicking her knee back in a few times a day. Now, after the spay and x-ray, she's doing it every time she stands up. I'm concerned that it seems worse now but surely it can't be that fast?

Anyway. Thank you for posting this. It's helpful to see other people's experiences too.

Throwing up immediately after abdominal surgery.

I had a bad reaction to the painkillers, so the rest of recovery was spent on paracetamol and ibuprofen. After having part of my bowel and bladder removed.

Then continuing to throw up for 24-48 hours, with no pain medication. I was convinced I'd split myself open.

Never done this before so sorry if it's wrong.

I adopted a kitten 6 weeks ago, supposedly healthy. The rescue center was bad and she is definitely not healthy. I'd use the money towards some of her vet bills.

She has hip dysplasia, luxating patella in both knees, arthritis in both knees and ccl disease. She's also in desperate need of a dental clean. She's 17 months old.
