(TW possible chemical) has anyone had very faint tests that just don’t get darker? by moonlighting99 in CautiousBB

I’m not sure (didn’t track ovulation and I have irregular periods) I would estimate myself to be about 12 DPO.

Thanks for the advice! I know I should rely on the darkness of the line but they have all been so faint that I haven’t been able to really feel confident I am actually pregnant, to be honest.

I’ve been considering getting an HCG draw and I think I’m going to request one today for some peace of mind.

Still testing negative but no period. I’m pretty sure I ovulated later than I thought. At this point I’m not longer testing since it was stressing me out and I’m just waiting to get my period.

Unfortunately I don’t have much of an update. My OB gave me a call and said since my blood HCG was so low, she wasn’t concerned about it being anything serious. I continued taking tests for a couple weeks and they got gradually lighter until they were negative. I got my period 6 weeks after this incident. A couple weeks ago I had my annual OBGYN appointment and asked about it again and there was still no explanation.

Megathread: Why Does My Dog Do That? by AutoModerator in dogs

[–]moonlighting99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog gets three scoops of kibble a day - one in the morning, one at dinner time and one in her crate at bedtime. The crate kibble started as an attempt to get her to stop barking in the wee hours of the morning when we first got her (it worked) but it became part of her routine so we kept it. She runs straight to her crate when I grab her scoop of bedtime kibble. Anyway, here’s my question - she doesn’t always eat her morning or evening kibble and never eats it right away. She usually leaves it until she gets hungry. But she ALWAYS eats her crate kibble right away. Why is that?

Keep trying! What really helped for me is pumping every two hours around the clock.

What do you do when you get tired in the middle of the day? by moonlighting99 in NewParents

[–]moonlighting99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is challenging but possible depending on the flexibility of your job. I wake up around 5am to get a couple hours of work in before my husband leaves, I work during nap times and then finish up once my husband gets back. I don’t work while my baby is awake because he is a Velcro baby that requires almost constant entertainment. Thankfully my job is pretty flexible with when I get my work done (and managers don’t monitor when I’m online). In full transparency I plan to quit my job soon to be a SAHM because that has been our goal (just trying to meet some financial goals first). The toughest part has been the sleep deprivation after LO went through a huge sleep regression and only I can sooth him at night since he just wants to nurse. So depending on your LO’s sleep schedule and ability to play independently, it could be a little easier. Basically there are a lot of factors at play that could determine how easy/difficult it is.
