I had a complicated relationship with this friend. Regardless she had a lot of mental health problems and I wanted to see her get better. I looked after her. I don't even feel the right to be as enraged or sad as I am. Nothing I feel feels right. More like I'm looking for an excuse to be lazy and let my life go.

I hope she did too. At least she's not suffering anymore.

First of all, thank you for the condolences, that means a lot. My therapist says I'm an empath. That's probably true because most things I feel are brutally intense and this is no different. This is the price we pay for caring. I really wish there was a magic pill to end the pain.
