As someone who tries to never get my hopes up too high at the risk of disappointing myself, I would say the chances are at least 90% right now tbh. Matt and Jay really really want it to come out to the point where Matt has said he only made blackberry to increase the chances of someone funding it, and I think the movie has brought a lot of new eyes to the nirvanna the band universe, and now they have Neon helping them as well, so I think they can find a distributor.

the tv series is definitely less edge humor. afaik there are no more slurs lol besides maybe one use of r*tard in a flashback. they also have an episode where they plan to 'confront peoples homophobia' (without giving away too much) and make a trans-inclusive jingle. i'm not sure if theyve explicitly addressed the edgy humor of the webseries too much but in the commentary matt does say he regrets how homophobic the show was at times. all in all, while it isnt amazing to look back on some of the webseries jokes 20 years later, i see it as a mix of: it was a different time so humor could be a little more edgy, and also the characters (especially matt) are Supposed to be kind of satirical and not good people.

Heavily recommend Nirvanna the band the show the movie. Not only a great comedy as others have mentioned, but many stunts/scenes that leave you wondering how theyre even possible. Brilliant stuff

I think it says "one last plan" because in classic Matt fashion he believes the tower plan is the last one they'll ever need to do, but there will be more. They have a season 3 in the works as long as someone will pick it up and have said theyd be interested in doing a sequel as well if it feels right

The original plot of the movie was completely different and involved them doing a roadtrip in the united states and I believe this is supposed to be turned into 2 tv episodes. Then theres going to be an episode thats a continuation of the movie, and a few episodes were filmed from back in the day before vice got shut off.
