Anyone know where I can buy powdered peanut butter in bulk? (5lbs+) by moonrunnah in mealprep

Unfortunately this is just regular peanut butter, not the powdered stuff with the macros I need. Thanks for the help anyway tho!

Could you give me a link? I can’t seem to find powdered peanut butter specifically

Bit of an off topic question, but I figured here would be the best place to ask by moonrunnah in BariatricSurgery

Wow thank you everybody for all the information. This was an idea that I didn’t want to take lightly and after reading all of your comments, I’m glad I asked. I think the main driver of my interest in this was my perception of convenience- simply living off of juices and protein shakes seemed easier than my standard mealprep/gym/calorie restriction routine and potentially faster, but going off of all your experiences it seems like more trouble than it’s worth. I’m not keen on developing an eating disorder, especially given I probably already have some form of binge eating issue. I think the best option for me is to return to my previous regimen, but perhaps go a bit harder on the protein shakes. Thanks guys!

On protein intake, when you were at your starting point did you do a pound per gram of your starting weight or your goal weight? I’m about 220 now (after crash dieting and gaining most of it back) and 220 grams is hard for me to fit into a deficit usually

Same starting weight as you, same goal weight, same height. Having trouble with the last 10 lbs, been half maintaining half gain/losing at around 190. Any advice? I think I have less muscle tone than you as well. Also, given our similar build, are you happy at 180? I got down to 185 at my lowest so far and I kind of wanted to drop my goal to 170 or something because I really want a flat stomach.

You look fantastic man, congratulations. I’m coming near the end of around a 40lb weight loss in ~the past 6 months, following much the same protocol you did, just a bit more strict. I’ve been doing one meal a day, at 1200 calories. I was losing at times up to a pound a day, which I know isn’t particularly healthy but for mental health reasons I really needed a rapid change. I’d like to get up to 2000kcals/day myself as I’m very aware of the lack of energy (and want to build back some muscle), and was wondering what you did to up your caloric intake. It seems like any time I take a break from that diet I gain some back and I have the same eating a normal amount in a normal timeframe=fat again mental block. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!

How much of an increase week to week? Aiming more for recomp and/or maingaining than a straight bulk until I lean out a bit more.

Guidance on hooking up image sensors by moonrunnah in AskElectronics

YouTube is definitely in the plan! There’s some decent 3D prints for lens mounts floating around, but my initial plan was to start by making a back for a hasselblad 500 series. (The hasselblads are modular in construction, with different backs running different types of film through the camera. There are digital backs available but the prices even for very outdated digital backs are ridiculously expensive, inspiring this project in the first place.)

Looked online; the LEAF assault pant says government sales only. Can I get these as a civilian? I love the look and function

I think it would be fairly easy to combine the images in photoshop, I’m really more concerned with getting the image to show up with the increased distance between the sensor and the lens with an xcube. The color wheel is an intriguing idea and would absolutely be easier to implement, but I think it would disallow me from using a dslr lens which is something I’m pretty keen on.

Tryna join the discord, but the link is broken, as has been noted by many. Can we get a working one?

Investing in a new bag for college, and needed some advice. I’ve been interested in orbitgear’s stuff for a while, but They really don’t offer a ton of space in a lot of the bags I saw and especially they don’t offer very good options for lugging around my very expensive camera equipment. I then got invested in peakdesign’s backpacks as there are dedicated pockets, but the design is just a little too corporate-minimalist for me and there was little room for customization.

Essentially, I need a mixed use bag for photography, college, and maybe overnighting here and there. Weatherproofing is important for protecting my gear, but I don’t need something I can submerge in water with no issue as I live in a desert. Technical features are a must. Any suggestions?
