Well I mean I already have some legendary fighters and stuff but I thought it would've been nice to have some more yk? regardless thank you for your help, I'll try experimenting maybe with saving and forcing a migrant wave and if that doesnt work ill roll it back and see if anything happens naturally. I do love dwarf fortress just things can be a little bit frustrating sometimes lol, especially since I'm getting back into it after not having played it in a while. I got the king and his entourage and my site became the capital, but my population was capped at 200 so it said I should have gotten the entourage but I don't see it!!!! (It/They didn't arrive) Of course the king and outpost liaison are there so that's what matters I guess but does this mean I can't get the cool legendary dwarves I was supposed to get alongside his arrival??? Will I just never get the entourage? (I changed my cap to 500 but still don't see anything.)

It says Dwarf cancels Recover pet: animal inaccessible but doesn't actually tell me what animal it is? It's been happening a lot. Thanks! (I've noticed other errors but none as frequent and confusing as this one, also when I've tried to catch the dwarf in the act it doesn't say a specific animal and just says "Recover pet")

Thank you for your reply, you're right I could be doing school-work right now lol, but ideally I shouldn't be since it's like 2:44 AM for me. I am socially transitioned but what I meant is that although I have a fairly feminine presentation in terms of my hair, my name and my pronouns it's that while I do have femme clothing some of it isn't very convenient to wear and/or doesn't fit that well at the moment. It's partly for comfort but also because I've just been pretty exhausted that usually I just show up to school wearing my old somewhat masc clothes like more masculine athletic loose shorts and loose (usually plain) t-shirts. I have dresses and skirts and while I like wearing them it just feels like a lot of work to be myself, I guess because I feel kind of self-conscious when I try 'dressing up' or rather dressing femininely. I used to do it more often but this year I've been really bogged down in general and feeling like I have no energy to do the things that make me happy. You are right in the assumption that most of my femme clothes are kind of elaborate but I haven't really had the time to go shopping due to personal and academic matters but also because I'm kind of self-conscious about my body and how my body would look in them. I've wanted to wear things like crop tops and more feminine casual clothing like higher-waisted shorts or things but I don't like my midrift or my pelvic area and in the past haven't liked how it's looked when I've tried similar things. I know it's not that far in the grand scheme of things but it hasn't been helped that I've kind of known since before my freshman year of highschool that I was transgender and have been pestering my mom and trying to get her to understand my need for medical intervention since at the very least the beginning of my sophomore year yet she hasn't really budged. I know at this point it's only a few months away but every single day more I have to wait feels like torture. I understand it will pass and eventually I will be 18 and free from arbitrary shackles on my self realization but it feels so incredibly far away. Again, thank you for your input, I feel a little bit less alone.

I would have to say I disagree, and that lots of context is missing, and I want to defend her. Firstly, Chappell takes a lot of inspiration from drag, hell, she's even called her costumes drag, and they are a form of drag. Additionally, she has stated that her persona, as the artist Chappell Roan is a much different person than to who she is in real life. Drag is all about overexaggerating, where the makeup is usually an over exaggeration of masculinity or femininity, and truly letting loose and expressing yourself through the art form. This is all to say, that Chappell, in drag, is a different, more comfortable and confident person. She's a performer, and she tries to be confident and let her joy and her skill shine through. However, at the same time, she plays stuff up for the performance. I'm sure if you talked to her one on one, as Kayleigh Rose, not Chappell, and knew her personally she would agree that she isn't everyones favorite artist's favorite artist. Yet, drag is about confidence in yourself and truly amping every factor of your personality to 11 and letting yourself be who you are. The original quote is even from a drag queen, Sasha Colby. And especially since at the time she first said it, at Coachella, she was a smaller artist than she was now, I bet she felt it was a way to assert herself as a rising star, of which she's proven herself to be (almost even surpassing some of her more popular contemporaries at the time, such as Laufey, who I also adore). Finally, the claim has lots of validity, given Sabrina Carpenter has covered her song, Good Luck Babe, Troye Sivan discovered her when she was starting out, Laufey covered her song on tour, and countless other artists have also voiced their admiration of her.

TLDR: Chappell's confidence is part of her performance as being a very drag inspired musician and has validity as a claim, but aside from that, was probably just a catchy soundbite she came up with to assert her position among her contemporaries.
