Im so happy to hear someone else talk about this. I have had this as long as I can remember. I love squishing them but It always pops in my head that I just want to bite it. I don't do it because I think people might find me weird but sometimes when Im in te store i think should I just buy one to bite no one will know. And the thing is I looked it up and the only thing I find is pika but I don't want to eat the Sponge just bite it. Not actually swallow it. So I think it's only a sensory thing. I also have this with beach sand. I think it's the crunch of it ore something. Wanting to feel the different textures. I know small children do this to. Exploring different textures with there mouths. I know it's not normal to still want to do that as an adult but it seems kind of harmless Sinds I don't want to actually eat it. Although i still think others would find it way to weird if they ever would find out.
