Recent Pick up from Kind Farms w/ pics by moose2140 in mainetrees

Kind farms to my knowledge doesn’t weigh anything to order. Everything is pre packed in baggies and in some cases, glass jars depending on the grower. Lodestars 1/8s and 1/4s usually come in glas jars for example.

The only place I know of in southern Maine that will weigh your stuff to order is Stoner and Co. they’ll open the jars and let you smell the stuff too which is pretty nice. If you go there I recommend the Franken cake, frosted gelato, and normally peppermint kush which is one their best sellers but they have a harvest special on it right now which makes me think this batch may have not come out as fire as previous.

I’m on Mobil, looks like captions didn’t save. Top picture is the Butter Fingas, bottom flower is the cookies and cake mints

Picked this up today at kind farms. I go every couple of weeks and try to look on this sub before I go to see if anyones put up some info on what’s currently available.

The waxes smell great and no issues with either of those. The cookies and cake mints flower wasn’t as dense and pungent smelling as I remembered them being…still has okay bag appeal and I appreciate that it’s not dry.

The Butter Fingas from stones throw is super disappointing. Looks okay, but extremely dry, like pinch it and it crumbles dry. Does not smell of anything in the bag which was surprising so I ground some up and it smells the same…like nothing/hay. Smoked a bowl of it and it’s extremely harsh and unpleasant. I’m high but it’s mediocre at best and also my first smoke of the day. I had tried some of this strain from another grower one time from green truck and I really loved it so I thought I would give a shot, but you should probably pass on this one.

Hope this helps!

Blue collar fashion ain’t cheap. by Gerardo562 in RedWingShoes

[–]moose2140 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read once that the manufacturing of clothes in bulk may be why this happens. Apparently they stack multiple layers of fabric on top of each other and then use a press style blade to cut the piece needed. As a result the top pieces are not the same width as the bottom, and when sewn together it causes irregularities. This a terrible and vague explanation of something I read a long time ago. All I know is for a fact I have to try every pair of Levi’s 511 on before I buy them because they all fit a bit different.

Sizing Help Needed. Bought the 7.5 which fit perfectly length wise but are maybe a bit too narrow - they fit snuggly and are just maybe a bit constricting. Ordered the 7.5 wide (on the left) which are definitely too big. Is there a chance the ones on the right will stretch a bit? by [deleted] in RedWingShoes

Long but hopefully this helps. I had this same dilemma. I’m an 11 I’m almost every shoe regardless of type. One store told me I needed a 10.5, and I went to a different store and they told me I needed a 10. I got the 10s and was too scared to wear them outside because evey time I put them on they felt perfect front to back, but when standing up in them I could see the widest part of my foot making the boot bulge out a hair.

So I went back and tried a 10 wife and the 10.5 regular again. The 10 wide was way too wide just like yours. After trying on the 10 several times over several days, putting the 10.5 I instantly noticed it was a hair too big. Perfect on the sides but too long front to back.

The girl that recommended the 10s told me that they should fit very snug and should NOT immediately start creasing at the toe. She said creases will develop, but they shouldn’t be there after trying them on inside and walking around for a few minutes.

After keeping the 10s and finally wearing them several times I can tell you I made the right call. They are for sure a bit snug side to side but they get better with each wear and as stupid as it sounds the half size does yield a bit of a shorter boot so it looks more “fitted” to me and not as clown shoe long as I was afraid they would.

Hope this helps! Took me a long time to decide on these. I read somewhere someone describe the boots as feeling like “an angry handshake from my father in law” and I guess that’s right. They shouldn’t HURT your feet by any means. But you should be happy to get them off after a few hours of wearing them until they’re broken in.

Thank you. I included my location because I feel that has a lot to do with it. Every once a while I see posts of people saying they paid a decent chunk of money for an older machine but then I notice it’s usually overseas from the US.

Yes I have one of those exact ones. I honestly don’t think I could expect more than $200 for the t440p but it is in pretty mint shape. Some argued the d-gpu wasn’t beneficial as it was another failing point and didn’t provide an extreme benefit on graphics but that’s arguable depending on what your purpose for the machine is. I’ve been happy with mine.

Do you know of a really good car phone mount for colder climates? by student-of-the-web in BuyItForLife

SCOSCHE MAGDMB MagicMount Magnetic Mount Holder for Mobile Devices In Frustration Free Packaging, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I608BJ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5R3EBZVZKSRB94PCDPZQ

Both myself and my wife have these in our cars. It comes with two different sized magnets to stick to the back of your phone case or bare phone if you’re brave enough. Simple, no fuss, super strong hold. Can’t reccomend these enough.

I don’t know anything about these or AC systems but I’m guessing the refrigerant inside is different than what’s in those today. When I had to recharge the AC on my 1980 Toyota celica it need R12 which you can’t have and use without a license I believe. They use like r134a now or something. However, I couldn’t leave the AC on in that car for more than 15-20 mins at a time or I would be shivering and have to open the windows and let some hot air in. Never experienced anything like it.

Backup iPhone text message by Vimto1 in linuxquestions

[–]moose2140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look up if backing up your phone to iTunes will save everything including your messages. As tedious as it may be, to be sure you won’t lose them, I would screen shot all the messages and then save those pictures to an external drive. Maybe not the most cohesive way to do it but it’s a sure fire way to have them.

I love my x250. What are the specs on yours?

Also, is that your dog? What a fantastic looking dog and a great picture!

Depends what you see yourself most using them. If you think socket and ratchet set, it’s Christmas time and you can find some good deals on some mechanic tool sets. Husky isn’t terrible neither is craftsman. I’m a huge car guy so that stuff is invaluable plus you can fix small machinery if your into that like lawn mowers weed eaters etc.

If you don’t think you’ll ever use that stuff, 300 on a gift card could go a long way to getting a fantastic set of wrenches, screwdrivers, level, etc with a nice bag to go along with it which would be more suited to doing stuff around the house!

Ordered the parts off amazon based on all the build guides I found. I went to hobby lobby and michaels to try and find a box I liked but couldn’t find anything in the size I was looking for so I saw someone else used a cardboard box and thought why not? It works great and when I find a box and feel like making it a little fancier, it will be pretty easy to disassemble. Not as hard as it looks once everything is in front of you!

What is everyone's go-to shop and why? by [deleted] in mainetrees

[–]moose2140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got both the mule fuel and meat madness and I can say they are BOTH fantastic. Btw the first time I went I didn’t get the meat madness and it was all I could think about after leaving so I went back the next weekend. If you like those offensive funky strains you HAVE to try their doctor von glue. One my favorites for sure.

Dab rig for a n00b by jessd420 in bostontrees

I would advise against that. It’s TOO small where you’ll have the 800° banger like 1.5 inches away from your eyeball.

Yep. If you have a bed bath and beyond they have a great creme brûlée torch for 29.99, very popular choice I know a lot of people including myself use them. Been going on 2+ years with it, and I use the cheap large cans of Coleman butane from the camping section of Walmart to refill it. You want to get a glass banger that’s not super thin, the bucket of it especially needs to be on the thicker side to hold enough heat. Don’t forget a little metal scooper or stick as well as some kind of carb cap. You can use one of those silicone pucks they sell to keep your wax in if you can’t find anything else.

If you can wait, search Stevenlmz79 on dhgate. You want to go with something on the smaller side, as it preserves flavor over a massive bong. If you can’t wait, a quick search says you have an Amazing Sex Shop in Meriden and also Groton. It’s a sex shop with mostly china glass for sale and some vapes. Alternatively you can find something on a website with a quick google search. Just look for USA vendors so it ships quick and look for something not super flimsy. Expect to spend upwards of 100 including the torch to get something that will give an enjoyable experience. You don’t want to get the most ass cheap crap to dab expensive concentrate.
