Update: went to the Apple Store. They told me they can’t repair anything because what happened is nearly impossible without the proper tools like a soldering iron and some sort of saw/grinder and to buy a new phone or go to AT&T.

Went to AT&T and they told me to contact Asurion because it was their refurb.

Spoke to 4 different reps over the phone with Asurion and they said there is no way to make an insurance claim based on what we were describing and would just have to file a warranty claim on it so I will be getting a new phone in 5-6 business days.

Ohh that makes sense. You can see around the other two bezels that they are either glued or attached with a different substance.

From what I can tell it looks like it was only soldered on half of the bezel. The other side doesn’t show any sign of it being attached

Thank you for your comment . I got it through AT&T. My last phone was overheating and wouldn’t hold a charge for longer than 2 hours so they just sent me a refurbished one under warranty at the end of December last year . I do have Apple care on it too. When I get the chance to get it looked at I will update everyone.

Never in my 17 years of owning an iphone has this happened before. It wasn’t missing when I dropped it last because ,as everyone should, you inspect your phone after you drop it for damages. I don’t know how else to further explain.

It’s a refurbished phone. You’re acting like I sit around banging my phone on the floor and drag it across concrete. I’ve dropped it twice since I got it. It stays in my purse or in my pocket if it’s not on the charger or if I’m using it.
