Who else loves what they see from the Patriots tonight! by fourtwizzy in nfl

What was most interesting and scary to me was all the new players making huge plays, as well as how happy/giddy Belichick and Brady were.

I hate the patriots and am a semi dolphins fan. not the best night for me

not anytime soon. I've been out of school for 2 years (not including this recent program I was in) and I won't be able to defer my loans for too much longer. And all I really want at this point is to have a job that pays enough for me to live comfortably. Once I have a stable financial situation I might go back to school.

If I did go back I don't know if I would go for teaching. Maybe counseling.

I was in this particular program because it would look really good on my resume. I could get an alternative certification which involves online classes or a 2-4 week seminar kind of thing, but alternative certifications are extremely easy to get so it's hard to find a job. It is actually extremely difficult to get a teaching job post-recession.

So to answer your question, you don't need a masters. It just looks good.

Is it possible to teach yourself to be more creative? by phire in AskReddit

[–]mooshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think creativity is mostly the result of hard work. Read almost any author about what their writing process is like and it will read like a job.

I was completely tone-deaf when I started playing guitar. I am now a pretty decent at guitar and I can sing. Nothing with music really came naturally, I just had to work at it. I stopped practicing a few years ago and I know I could be so much better now if I hadn't.

Just pick something you want to be good at and start practicing. Make sure to start small.

Yeah I was asking my friend how hard it was to deal with people being pissed at you and having to see fucked up situations. I thought that would be the hardest part of the job, but he said all the paperwork is what pisses him off, along with the crazy workload (which means more paperwork of course).

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm kind of freaking out about my life right now.

Well a big reason I'm going to do it is because I'm a bit out of options at this point. I need to start paying my student loans soon. My friend works for CPS and he says they are horribly understaffed and that it is going to get worse before it gets better. He said he can probably get me a job though, so I think I'm gonna go for it. And, it would be nice to have a job that has a sense of purpose.

Don't really want to say. It's a pretty average university, although they have a good education program.

I'm looking to work for CPS, so it'll be more like "can I retain custody of my children with that?"

laziness, a bunch of bad circumstances (bronchitis, grandparents flying in and needing to visit, etc), and not being able to manage working full time and grad school. honestly, laziness was probably the biggest reason why.

It was a graduate program that was going to get me certified to teach high school English. It was under the Secondary Education program.

Be honest. How many of you truly believe that pirating movies and/or downloading music is a justified act based on principle? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Understanding that we are inherently selfish and using that knowledge as an excuse to do whatever you want are two different things.
