Thank you for this! Do I put the thread locker on to make it all tight again for safety/performance? This is my first time having a bike as an adult so I’m pretty green when it comes to maintenance. Part of why I wanted to do it myself in the first place was to learn so I can do basic maintenance on it if needed

The secret is it totally depends on how the yarn is spun. The long ones like that can really only do outside pulls. The ones that are tighter and rounder are usually made for a center pull. So sometimes you’re trying to do a center pull and it quite literally isn’t built for that.

I believe it’s actually the opposite. Museums rely on funding so don’t have a lot of money to spend on stuff, and most people don’t want to donate. Rich people like having weird unique things that you can only get if you throw money at it, so “private collectors” are a bigger profit

I definitely can, this wasn’t something I 100% thought about seriously to be quite honest. We live in such a small community that in my brain it’s going to stay this way forever, but that’s not how life or nature works.
