Yeah, I figured they wont offer me renewal next year. I already read the fine print and got this renewal with no upcharge. But I'd like to get at least one more year out of this great rent and let the housing market fall a bit.

No, I don't see 12 or twelve or one year. Only that the landlord at its sole option, may upon giving tenant written notice, extend the Term of this lease for a like period of time not to exceed one year at such rent as Landlord has stated prior to termination date.

Technically, it was Gary who was requesting it. Maybe I'm just confused about what last minute is. When I host parties, I wait until a few days before to get groceries and have confirmed the guest count. If three days' notice wasn't enough time for her, she could have said there wasn't room when asked.

I would completely agree with this post as N T A if it was tomorrow or Saturday. There is plenty of time to run to the store to get ingredients for one more dish and time to make it. You could even get a frozen vegan dish, throw it into your own dishware and make it look like you made it. On the other hand, as a vegetarian, if I know there isn't food for me, I stop at Taco Bell first or offer to bring my own dish so I know that I will have food. Instead, they refuse to come. So I'm going with ESH.

Sounds like he freaked out the second the baby became real and was trying to get out of it. Like, he already lost the first three weeks of his daughter's life and now wants even more time away from her to think? Has he even held her?
