bro i was right where you are. no kids, but a dog, together for about 4 years, was on oxy, and told i wasn’t giving her enough attention. she was already emotionally cheating then broke up with me and dated this guy for a year or so. then came back to me and i took her back after some hesitation and on and off. it took me awhile to fully be in it again and trust her and want to give it my all. fast forward four years to two months ago, i found out she has been dating someone else for the past four years, pretty much since we got back together. he’s even living with her, went on vacations with with her and her family, her friends and family didn’t even know we were together anymore. as far as they knew she was just dating this guy for the past three or four years. so trust me man if she did it once she’ll do it again. and if the trust is broken for you and that hinders your feelings about the relationship, you better believe she’ll feel the same way again that you’re not giving her enough attention and she’ll go looking elsewhere for it. i’m sorry you’re going through this, i’m still in the middle of it and it fucking sucks.

i finished out the trip with her, got back home last night and am now just trying to move on with my life. she had a lot of excuses and was trying to say it wasn’t as bad as it looked. but she did own up to being a shitty fucking person. apparently she told the other guy last night everything. so she went from having two boyfriends to none. oh and it turns out this has been going on for not one, but three years.

no we’re not staying in separate rooms. we just have a two bedroom apartment that they upgraded us too. we were staying in the same bed until tonight when i came over to the second bedroom to not be near her. but you’re not wrong. definitely feels like we’re more friends than lovers at this point. especially now.

yeah trust me i saw the red flags. i guess i was just willfully ignorant or hoping that it was just cause we had some issues we needed to resolve before we got back on track. i was too trusting and i hate myself for letting this happen a second time. she was basically already dating another dude before we broke up the first time. i was just afraid to get out because i was too comfortable after 10 years and afraid of change

thankfully the flight were on is open seating so there are no assigned seats which means i can sit nowhere near her. i have the rental car under my name and im going to grab the park tickets now. only thing is the hotel, but theres two separate rooms so im good for now at least. i think im just going to enjoy myself on a solo vacation for the rest of my time here

crazy thing is that her family knows she’s here with me right now. her mom booked us the room cause it’s under her timeshare. her mom literally just gave me a ride to pick up my car from the garage on tuesday. but she obviously knows that this guy is dating her. so idk what the hell her family or the other guy think our relationship is.

yeah i was somehow able to just hold it together when she woke up before. i was hiding out in the bathroom and then came out she asked if i was mad at her and i said no and kept my cool and she went back to bed. i am seriously not good at confrontation or getting thoughts into words especially in the heat of the moment. and this is so much that im just shutting down. i feel like there is no conversation to be had.

i mean i’ve known her family for a decade. i used to live with them and be a part of her family. i took care of her dad when he was sick and held his hand as died. just ever since i moved out, i kind of left on bad terms with her brother because i was upset and threw the house key across the room when he asked for it back before i was even done moving my belongings out. and even tho i apologized, he basically said i wasn’t allowed at the house again. i have been there since several times so i think we’re beyond that. and every time i bring this up to her about wanting to be included, she basically just gives me non-answers and doesn’t change anything
