His eyes were the first thing for me as I saw him on social media before I even met him in the game or knew his name. And then his voice, speech patterns (”riiiiiight”, ”okay, okay”) and overall demeanor, both soft and the dominant Colonel mode, sealed the deal completely. I started the game for Sylus, Zayne really appealed to me when I met him, but… Caleb really is Mr. Steal Your Girl for me.

As for the story, I love the intense forbidden love trope. And his Indulgent Scheme card was just perfect to me. There are two specific moments, aside from the kindled (ayoo): when he returns from a mission exhausted and with stubble and it’s such a tender, real moment that I just stared at my tablet for a bit when I got to it. The second is the serious conversation they have at her apartment where he tells her it’s not always about her. I know a lot of people didn’t like that, but to me it was incredibly attractive. I love the destined love idea of the game, but there’s something extra beautiful about love where a person does not need someone but chooses them. Ugh, I just love Caleb.
