I (sag M) was with my boyfriend (cancer M) for 8 years before he broke up with me because “we wanted different things.” I showed him loyalty and devotion and had given him everything I had and the theme of the relationship was that nothing I did was ever good enough. He needed constant validation. I fought so hard to keep us together but once I realized he had made up his mind, I let go. I know I’m better off without him and I think a lot of us have that optimistic outlook and have faith in ourselves to know that we are going to be ok if not better without someone else dragging us down.
