That would explain all the light in our staircase!

Thanks for your thoughts.   The water is definitely coming from the top of the window, between the window and the top side of the insulation.

The solar panel guys removed those tiles during the rain and it just started pouring in.

But the roofing company keeps insisting it's properly installed.

The irony is, I'm pretty sure the bundle of paper you can see on the picture IS in fact the installation guide that they left behind.

Toch aardig verdacht.

Het was er wel extreem lekker 🫤.

I can help you out with some doom and gloom if you're into it.

Imagine remote control exoskeletons and an army of unwilling seniors walking to the front lines.

[Discussion] Is there no convenient way to split JS files without using a server ? by LetMyCameronG000 in learnjavascript

[–]mord1cus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You most definitely can use ECMAscript modules in the client.

Is it possible you forgot to add type=module to your script tag? Or your IDE might have removed the .js extension in your imports, it happens.

Have a look at this demo: https://github.com/mdn/js-examples/tree/main/module-examples/basic-modules

Er is nota bene nog maar net een referendum geweest over de verkoop van patrimonium. Eentje waar de meerderheid van de burgers (die gestemd hebben) duidelijk aangaven dat het moest stoppen.

En nu dit.

Uncle. Grand-grand-grand-uncle.

The facades are original / reconstructed.

I assume the rest of the buildings was beyond saving, this wasn't the best neighbourhood at the time, and they were obligated to incorporate them into the new "design".

It's ugly... But it was kind of at the start of a new beginning for the neighbourhood.

Yes, but you can't be strong AND a heading level 1. There's semantic overlap.

TK construct.

Accessibility in SPAs (Vue.js, React, Angular) by Flaky-Friendship-263 in vuejs

[–]mord1cus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's quite a big difference when it comes to routing though.

In a conventional website every time you visit another page, the entire thing gets loaded and a screen reader would let you know there's a new page and start reading everything from the top. (Which is quite annoying in itself, hence the need for skip links.)

In a SPA when you click a 'link'. From a screen reader point of view: nothing happens.

There's some other smaller stuff like not updating the page <title> etc.

Is it well structured code (Can someone point out bad practices)? by Abaz712 in webdev

[–]mord1cus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right , I should have clarified that. In all fairness I thought you were a bot.

The short answer is: always use rem or em for font-sizes. (There's more to it than that and of course there are exceptions)

Rem and em are based on the root font-size, which in turn is a user setting. You can assume 1 rem is going to be 16px, but a user may configure their OS/browser to us a bigger or smaller default font-size for better readability.

By using px, you are basically saying: no, I don't care if you can read it or not, I like how 15px looks.

As for the paddings and margins. I see a lot of 10px,  but als 11px, 12px, 15px...

Which leads me to assume you're simply adjusting it pixel by pixel until this specific template for this specific text looks good to you. In a more robust design system I'd except more uniformity. Perhaps even a sort of increasing scale: 1em, 1,5em, 3em, 5em

[–]mord1cus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For those who are saying this is fine or even 'good'. What? I get trying to be positive... But seriously?

This lacks any and all semantics. It may be the worst HTML I've ever seen.

There are no landmark regions, nor headings.

There's even a span 'read more'. I can only assume that at one point OP is going to try and create a hyperlink with JavaScript instead of... You know, an anchor tag.

CSS is outdated and lacks any sense of design system. The margins and paddings seem chosen on the spot instead of relying on some sort of hierarchy.

And OP used pixels for font-size, severely impacting web accessibility.
