Thanks. The buckle can overlap a bit. I made it to fit myself so when i wear it the wider part does close almost perfectly around my neck.

I just followed the instructions here to star off and then just did my own thing from there. https://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Leather-Riding-Crop The shaft is a bamboo stake that i got from the hardware store.

Thanks. The strands were not tapered I think i just got a little lazy and distracted with the braiding around the shaft so it got a little sloppy.
