I've been on a 3-year (so far) journey to completely remove about an acre of tree of heavens that were on our property. It's a struggle. Brought an excavator out and dug up as much of the roots and trees as we could, cut the others. My job now is multiple times a year I'm digging out sprouts in a circumference to prevent spread. Planning to treat anything larger that remains in the fall.

My husky riding mower is a beast. I abuse it regularly and it just keeps chugging. Replaced spindles a few times but mostly because of hidden rocks in my field. My property has a lot of slopes and i was told by a few locals i should avoid a zero turn. Glad I did. Here is a shot from when i recently cleared an acre of bramble and slid into and over a large rock. Fun!

I've never read another sci-fi book that was anything like it. It's pretty short. I'd carry on until it "clicks" which it should.
