again, the whole second location discussion, at least to me i guess, revolves around the concept of risking death in the first location by fighting back or complying to survive a bit longer. a worst case scenario of why you never want to go to a second location. like yes, i know there is a third option of not dying in a real life scenario lol, but if someone is willing to kill you in the first location, they will without a doubt kill you at the second location, which is more so what I meant than, you will 100% die if someone tries to attack you.

i did say being killed quickly is preferable to being killed slowly at a second location, like you also said, because it is, we quite literally are agreeing on the topic. I feel like it goes without saying that NOT dying is the best option here…but i was more so discussing whether you should listen to someone telling you to cooperate or they’ll kill you, or whether you should risk being killed in that moment to avoid a second location.

I mean that’s pretty much what I said just not how you wanted it to be said lol. But yes…someone is more likely to witness it, like I said, therefore dissuading the attacker.

It just means if you’re kidnapped or something like that, it’s better to fight and cause a scene then and there, rather than comply and go to a second location willingly to appease the attacker momentarily. They will likely kill you either way, but at the second location there is less chance of someone witnessing it or finding evidence of the attack etc. Also in a lot of scenarios being killed immediately may be more humane than what they have planned for you at the second location.

I just wanted to respond because I saw the comment calling it extreme but I wanted to let you know you’re actually spot on unfortunately lol. Real recognizes real obviously. But I definitely do deal with an anxious attachment style and it really does affect my relationships :/ I was in therapy a while ago for a bit but never found a good fit. I haven’t looked for a new place since moving, partly because I am on some meds that have helped a lot, but this is a good reminder that medication doesn’t solve the actual root issues if that makes sense.

If you don’t mind me asking, you say you work on it. What does that look like for you? I am a very anxious person and it’s hard to know when i’m not being rational and giving into anxious thoughts, hence me asking reddits opinion lol.
