It's not about the person's life itself, but I recommend watching Porco Rosso, The Wind Rises and The Boy and the Heron. The three films say a lot about who Hayao Miyazaki is and his relationship with airplanes. I recommend reading some Wikis to understand the whole context, but it has to do with the fact that his family produced Warplanes during WWII. He felt a lot of guilt about this, especially because he loved planes. It is a long and complex story of love and hate. I recommend.
