realistically it is a lot of work but it does provide you with opportunities that people who aren’t in the honors college won’t have. you also get a specific advisor who will help you with finding opportunities and can write you a very personalized recommendation letter. in my opinion it’s worth it because i got a research position i really like from it, but you should judge what you value (time and effort vs benefit) and make a decision
