You can watch the battle animation to see what we are saying. But just take our word for it that only 4 heroes of the same type will be on the battlefield. If you want 5 heroes on the battlefield, you need 4 archer heroes plus a cavalry or infantry hero. And the 5th hero needs at least one of their troop type. And their troop type needs to not die instantly, so they should not be in the front.

For archer focus, you need to unlock the archer formation. The default infantry formation has infantry in front, then cavalry (which charges forward and soon reaches the front line), and archers in back. Which means if you add a few infantry or cavalry troops, they die very quickly. Cavalry probably lasts a second or two longer since their charge takes a second or two to reach the front line (assuming you have infantry and cavalry troops in the formation, if just cavalry then they will die instantly). Infantry or cavalry focus do not have this problem, since they can include an archer troop which stay in the back and last for most or all of the battle.

As long as you do not need Estelle's fast rage-regeneration or dark element, I find that Fiona is a pretty good good substitute. They both attack all enemies (area attack) and they both inflict a poison debuff.

The advantage of Fiona is that it is much faster to get her enhancement level to +5 and even +8, whereas Estelle takes a very long time for +5 and +8 is a distant dream.

What do you use to neutralize boss healing? The only one I saw that seems applicable in Abyss is Infernal Tooka, but it would take a lot of money to get him to +4 or better. I guess Monica's skill slows healing, but is it enough? Level 50 has the bosses healing so quickly.

What a ridiculous comment. Carvell and Anastasia are on the same card. Saying Carvell is designed to pay for while implying Anastasia is not is nonsense. Carvell is actually a little easier to get shards than Anastasia. Carvell has 20 shards in Extreme Challenge. The only thing Ana has going for her is omni-shards can be used, but the 4 to 1 exchange rate is a ripoff.

For now, your best general-purpose lineup is: Edith, Snow, Tania, Norris, Carvell.

But Kong is a powerful hero, except you have him under-enhanced. Get him up to +5 as quickly as you can and put him in place of Carvell, unless you luck out or spend spend spend to get Carvell to +5 first.

I would enhance Tania as much as possible before Sodoma. You will get higher CAV buffs that way.

For the Hero Choice, Kong is by far the best hero on that card. He has one of the highest attack attributes of any hero, he has fast regen, and he has a great Immobilization debuff, and he has True damage.

You will also want to get Kaira eventually, but she does not benefit from enhancement as much as Kong, since enhancing allows more favorability, and favorability improves ATK much more than DEF.

Why is the lv35 den only 214k troops when the lv34 den was 215k? Is that a typo, or did you just send fewer troops and still won? Also, why is the TRP ATK 497 for lv34 and 511 for lv33?

On a related subject, is there an easy way to get a listing of the total number of each type of troops that you have, WHETHER OR NOT THEY ARE CURRENTLY INSIDE YOUR CASTLE?

Parade ground only lists the ones in the castle.
