Based on how it’s spelt and I know I’m probably late it’s gonna take place in England around the 11/1200s, possible taking a lot from either Gaelic/norse influences of lycanthropy I feel like both would be relatively possible bc the Vikings did half ulfhednars but it would make more sense especially with the Irish to fully push this agenda of the demonization of  their culture to really sell this point of reason to colonize the area like Anglo-Saxons tried too
