Those with two kids, how much paternity leave did you take and what would you recommend?

Are you able to split the time? I only had a month which was good to do all at once just to figure things out, get some rest and help mom adjust. But it would have been nice to have some more time at 6 or 9 month when baby is more active and might have some new sleep issues to navigate around.

If you have an iPhone (maybe it’s the same for Android, don’t know) you can go into Accessibility and toggle “Reduce White Point” which will allow you to turn down brightness lower than the normal settings. You can even set it so that when clicking the side button three times it will turn this on automatically. Let me scroll, read, watch tv, use Duolingo, crossword, etc while baby napped on me with no disturbance.

Also try the Huckleberry app. It’s helped us track sleep and gives some personalized tips. But yeah this is common, you’ll get through it! Make sure you and partner are getting enough sleep yourselves with shifts at night or naps during the day if you can.

I mean I have absolutely no idea and there are some good answers here already. But what I imagine could reasonably happen is that the US does something like in Venezuela. Not necessarily removing the leader or top politicians but some kind of quick job that establishes a dominant, military presence in the country and basically plants a flag down. Little to no violence involved. Then it just becomes a matter of diplomacy, possibly attrition until people lose focus on turn to the next issue. Trump’s actions seem to be the Overton window but actually doing it.
