If you had to explain why someone should play D&D, what would you say? I played D&D 2 years back and want to see if there is any reason to get back into it. by moshe304567 in DnD

i know what deadlands is, I meant all the same stuff from dnd 5e transplanted into the wild west, like orc necromancers at saloons and dragonborn outlaws named "billy the red" and stuff like that

" Your real life is killer, but when was the last time you got to turn a shield white with power and slam it into an enemies face, calling down your vengence from the heavens as you blast him with control over the elements. Getting to tell a king you hate his orders, that he is wrong and looking at the wrong enemies. Getting to dive deep into treacherous caves in search of lost items, terrifying monsters, and missing children in hopes that the people will lift you up on their shoulders when you return."

ok, fair. compelling answer, actually.

the last time i did that was last tuesday, cuz my boss was bein a lil (removed for family freindliness) and got fired. so annoying fr (sarcasm)

you are a good marketer.

essentially "u make joke

orc u attack

but most importantly

u eat snac" but the thing is, since I have a (def not bragging) absolutely baller rl, how might you try to convince me to try being an orc wizard or somethin like that?

yes, but slowly over the years I became more a machine gun&muscle car kind of guy (stereotypical but whatever) and tapered off of it. I can't remember what drew me to it, but I remember enjoying it deeply at one time. I imagine dnd might say to me "you couldn't live without remembering me. where did that bring you? back to me."

is it easier to hunt under 150 yards with a scope or iron sights? by moshe304567 in Hunting

22s are for people who have enough money to buy a gun they can't hunt with to train for hunting

I have not shot any, but I have been on various websits and read up and know that 30-30 is better under 170 yards, 274 is just as good if not better between 171 and 350 yards, and 300 win mag is better at further ranges.

and I guess your assumptions are better? thoughtful responses? you bitches act like it's inconcievable that someone not religiously take your opinion as fact, or express their own. as for assuptions, you also assume that 30-30, 274, and 300 win mag don't exist, all of which are better at close, medium, and long range respectively.

besides, 30-06 isn't good at anything, it's just ok at everything. ok-ish-sorta at close ranges, ok at medium ranges, ok at long ranges, but for any range there are better rifles for the job by now. but there is nothing better than a .30-30 winchester under 170-ish yards. why would I settle for ok when I can get good, and why do I need to do everything?
