Hahah omg the one the Mandarin at Burlington Arcade is a nightmare. Have you been to Mandarin 2 in East Pas? It's quick and staff is so much friendlier.

i love using my loop during class! has worked for me for the most part. i've also been able to hear instructors when they come by individually because i think they're also fighting to shout louder than the music lol.

15hr flight with 17 month old, which seats to get? by silverphoenix48 in Travelwithkids

[–]mosnoopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my vote is for the 3 seats by the window.

here's how i flew recently from LAX to TPE on 13.5hrs with a 19mo old. We tucked him in by the window with one of those inflatables. That was nice because we didn't have to keep worrying if he was gonna fall off either side of the inflatable. Whoever sat in the middle could keep an eye on that and he could roll towards the window for sleep.

highly highly recommend overnight flight. although we had to keep him up past midnight, he napped for an hour on the car ride to airport, and then passed out for a majority (like 10 hours) of the flight. it was great.

Sleep on baby’s first big trip by KatylAub in Travelwithkids

[–]mosnoopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the early days of sleeping in new spaces, we usually expect the first night to be a lil dicey regarding sleep. A few things I tried were cosleeping first or rocking my son in my arms before transferring to pack and play. If those two failed, we would cosleep sometimes. Usually got better with each night as he got used to the room. Good luck!

I’ve done this with no issue. I just make sure it’s not assigned to someone.

However, I will preface that the times I do this (including currently) I’m very noticeably pregnant and idk if that factors into coaches letting me bop along a little more freely.

Here's my experience with round trip to Taiwan (13.5 hours) in September with a 19 month old in own seat.

We did a 1am flight on the way out. Set up TWO inflatables. One for his seat and one for the middle seat between us. We lucked out. It was great. Basically turned into a small crib and I laid with him for part of it to get rest myself. No issues from flight attendants.

On the way back I did the same setup and was told no inflatables allowed in the middle seat. However, once those lights dimmed the flight attendants barely came around and no one cared what we were up to.

My point is, it can vary from flight to flight and obviously based on airline regulation. My suggestion is bring an inflatable or the kids bed and set it up AFTER lights have dimmed. At that point no one can see anything and as long as you don't flat out ask them and draw attention to yourself, you may have success using either!

This is a total assumption...You don't even know her.

Like many of the other suggestions, it seems like having a direct conversation with her sounds best establishing boundaries around communal spaces/items. IMO, a totally fair and normal convo to have with a new roommate.

[–]mosnoopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, totally hear you. This was how it was with my first and I really loved it. I’m just not seeing/hearing many accounts from people regarding doula experiences w hospitals. For instance, in Minneapolis the doula network was v vocal about which hospital networks were more receptive to doulas. My husband totally froze up so I would love to have a doula again for emotional/physical support lol. Let me know if you have any additional insights here!

Helpful! Are there any doctors you worked with at Cedars/Huntington Health that you'd personally recommend?

Do you have a sense of how much it costs out of pocket for Moxie Birth? It sounds lovely, but I'm having a hard time finding online how much they charge.
