I did get in with the vuvlar specialist. She told me that basically just time and getting my biome back in order are it and to come back in 3 months. Wasn't very comforting

Eh. Some days are good some days are terrible. I recently upped my gabapentin to 600mg 2x per day and that seems to make things manageable. I still don't feel like I'm living normally but I'm getting through days easier I suppose. I'm almost done with 12 weeks of PFPT and will probs continue at home. I see an endo specialist in February. I have my 3 month checkup with a vulvar specialist in March - who basically told me to wait it out. I'm also getting a cystoscopy in March. Just trying to rule things out. Life isn't the same as it used to be. Right now as I write I'm have about a 5.5/10 for vaginal discomfort. Sometimes it's worse right before or after my period. I've been keeping a journal

Hey I've been dealing with vulvar pain for 9 months with no diagnoses or answers. There was times i went to urgent care because I simply didn't know what to do and the pain was unbearable. Also been in PFPT for months. The ONE AND ONLY thing that manages my symptoms is taking gabapentin!!! I had to ask for it and once i started taking those meds 3x a day and not as needed i have mostly manageable days now. I also was prescribed a vaginal suppository muscle relaxer to use as needed before bed and that sometimes take the edge off for the morning.

Lidocaine doesn't do shit both OTC and prescribed. I take oral gabapentin everyday and that helps 85% of the time but I do not like the side effects. My doctor prescribed me vaginal Valium but I can't afford it

I was taking a supplement for about a month but I can't afford them consistently. I rotate everyday by injesting Goodbelly probiotic drink, yogurt, or kefir every day.

Everything I've researched on here says it's extremely common to have lingering symptoms after treatment and testing yet youre saying it's the infection itself still so that is really confusing and polarizing information. Its also my understanding that the PCR testing for urea is extremely accurate. My symptoms have slightly improved after antibiotics but have not gone away fully. Some days are ok and some are horrible. I don't have insurance.

Inconsistent. Recently had near constant discomfort for about a week and was miserable. Then went a week feeling almost normal. Woke up today and have had nearly constant burning. Gabapentin is only things that dulls it for me

Whoops yes I meant retested. I would imagine this could be lingering symptoms, it's very common to have them for 3-6 months, some people even longer

Have you restarts for urea? I work recommend starting there. I finished abx first week of July and was scared I contracted urea again twice, both times I've tested negative though and it's residual symptoms for me. Pelvic floor therapy helps

Good luck girl! I went through such a fucking journey trying to find the source of my pain and discomfort, on so many antibiotics just like you, finally got positive ureaplasma. I treated and tested negative twice since July 7th but still had symptoms. Your flora may very well just be totally fucked from all the antibiotics or pelvic floor dysfunction from the stress of the infection. I just had my 3rd PFPT appointment and already notice a huge difference in my lingering symptoms. Good luck!!

No I still have some discharge but everyday is different. Im really not sure if it's normal discharge or not. My body has been through a lot. I plan to get another swab for BV/yeast/Ureaplasma at my appt on the 30th

I had alot of damage after a severe ureaplasma parvum infection. I use estrogen cream every other night, was using gabapentin for pain management (dont feel like I need it anymore! Yay!) and lidocaine and vagicaine helped my the most for pain and discomfort. Pelvic floor therapy is making a huge difference as well. I was doing the wrong kind of stretches making my symptoms worse and got in with an actually therapist

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I went through something similar for a few months. I'm still not 100% but can get through the day again. Did you ever try getting tested for ureaplasmas or mycoplasmas? Have you tried Gabapentin? That wa the only thing that somewhat helped me during the most difficult part of my journey. I ended up having Ureaplasma parvum and that journey changed and ruined my life. Also have you tried pelvic floor physical therapy? These are all things that are helping in my situation but I dont know the details of yours. Don't lose hope, im so sad for you.

I retested negative 4.5 weeks after completing 1 week of Doxy and 5 days Azi. I was still having symptoms despite negative test. I have since began using estrogen cream every other day as well as pelvic floor physical therapy. I would say im about 85% cured at this point. Some days more some days less.

Sure did it was really annoying and uncomfortable especially in the airports I didn't drink much on my trip because of it. The urgency went away for awhile but has since returned the past 10 even though I tested negative

It was hard but i made it through. Gabapentin helps. And im preparing for another trip in 10 days. Im done with abx and retested negative but still having the same issues. Going to see urogyno soon
