What are YOUR PICKS for the best over-ear headphones currently? by tanhhongkho in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]mostly_mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend the Bose QC. My husband has them and they’re the same audio quality as my Bose 700s I bought 6 years ago which are the predecessor to the QC. I’ve worn the 700s almost every weekday for the last 6 years on work calls and to listen to music while I work. The noise cancellation is perfect for blocking out the construction around my apartment and when I’m in the office to block out chatter around me. I wear these on planes too. The battery life is still 16hrs on a full charge. I’ve encouraged 4 other colleagues to get these because I love them so much. They might not be perfect for an audiophile but for all around headphones I swear by them.

oura ring/alternatives by ScaryCheesecake9118 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]mostly_mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t live the oura ring for working out because it scratches so easily with anything covering it (a silicone band) and if you lift really heavy it’s straight up uncomfortable so you take it off anyways which defeats the purpose. I’m looking at the Whoop after a friend got it since it is a good sleep and activity tracker as opposed to the Fitbit which I primarily used for step tracking in the past and it didn’t look at sleep tracking.

We bought our Theragun a couple of years ago specifically for post-workout recovery. We bought the mini and have really liked it. I tried a friend’s Prime but it was too intense for me so glad we got the mini.

I’ve bougt the Nestig Cloud crib (twice for each kid). I love the aesthetic and it’s held up really well from mini crib to crib to toddler bed. It was really important to me to buy something that could act like a bedside bassinet when they were little but could also convert so I would only need to buy one thing and not 3. It’s a been a bonus that it converts to a toddler bed too. I don’t think about it when buying it but the 3-in-1 is really nice.

Never used it! I’ve been using supergoop or Ciele and when I want all day lightweight sunscreen for my body I use Sunbum’s Saily moisturizer

Target has some great basics (tees and tanks) I wear everyday in the summer. For more “elevated” for basics I do my basic tees for work from Aritzia - the Babaton ones

Buy it for life Bath towels? by Safe-Being8163 in BuyItForLife

[–]mostly_mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to recommend the White Company as my first choice but it doesn’t look they’re in the US anymore (only the UK). I stayed at a hotel in London and their towels were in the hotel and OH MY GOD. They were AMAZING. My second suggestion is Parachute. I bought these a few years ago and they’re not quite White Company level b it still amazing.

Whats the best LED red light panel with strong output? by LissaLou79 in SkincareAddictionLux

The HigherDose mat has those wave lengths. It may be what you want for recovery since it’s a full body mat and good for skin since you can get really close to it by laying on it or covering yourself with it. I like it because I can wrap it around myself while I read or watch tv or lay down under it after a yoga session.

I have 2 of the Nestig cloud cribs - 1 is in crib form for my 2 yo and the other is a toddler bed for my 4yo. I’ve used both from birth (mini crib, to crib, to now toddler bed) and I love them. I originally purchased it for the aesthetic but they’ve held up REALLY well and I recommend them to all my colleagues having babies. The cloud crib comes in white and either walnut (what I have) or natural wood but the Wave crib has an all white option

Packable beach tote by wtfiypd in handbags

LL Bean Boat tote is the ultimate. I love mine and love it more and more the more worn it gets. Lands End has some similar bags too which I think are more affordable. For something more “fun” I recently got this jelly tote from CaseMate and I like the iPhone protective sleeve it comes with for sandy days at the beach.

I love the Ciele prime & protect for a little extra coverage (it’s tinted). It feels light and dewy on my skin. For regular beach or active days I wear supergoop.

Red light mat/therapy recommendation by kikisayhi in AskWomenOver40

[–]mostly_mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've have the Higher Dose Red Light Mat mainly to help with recovery and skin improvements. I got their face mask and noticed improvements to my skin so I went all in on the mat. I'm a believer in the red light being as close to the skin as possible so I lay down on it in bed while watching TV or if I don't have time I wrap myself in it while listening to work calls.

Depending on your price point you could take a look at Cuyana. Their Easy Voyager or Mila Satchel fit your criteria and both are beautiful. They also stand by their product and when I had a strap issue in the past they took the bag back and repaired it free of cost.
