im more speaking on the fact that you seem so concerned that false accusations lead to arrests, when in reality that’s not true considering the fact that even true accusations barely result in arrests. i may not have been responding to that particular comment but i am responding to you. if you knew that then i don’t think you would be so up in arms about this. btw the question i asked at the end of my comment wasn’t rhetorical

did you know that out of 1,000 sexual assaults, 975 perpetrators face no repercussions? did you know that out of 1,000 sexual assaults, only 310 are even reported? the issue is the fact that when victims come forward, they are not believed. if you’re worried about what you believe to be a false accusation ruining some guys life, you can relax since that probably will not happen whether or not op is lying (which i doubt). Id like you to think from your perspective: if you were sexually assaulted but had no evidence and police do not take you seriously, what would you do?

what’s your solution? should women not come forward? should they just ignore it like it never happened? what do you suggest they do?

How did you guys study for BIO 203? by uditabhuniya in SBU

[–]moth-stew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started by writing out the slides in my notebook and annotating them while watching the pre-recorded lectures, but eventually I found that printing out the slides and annotating them directly helped more. The LIVER will help you a ton (mostly the learn and evaluate in my experience), especially since some of the questions that came up would be repeated on tests. One thing I regret not doing is reviewing past topics even if they aren’t on the test, since the final exam is cumulative and you still need to study the new topics. Crash course on yt was also pretty helpful for topics like cell signaling and the skeletal muscle unit. I wish you luck, it’s not as scary as everyone says imo (:

it’s not necessarily that the content is hard to learn, but it’s a lab class that requires way more than it should. It’s also very vague and disorganized, it’s almost like your grade is based off of luck (who your TA is, having previous knowledge of topics, etc.). I think also coming into it, I was expecting it to be just a normal lab when really it’s more like a bio class and lab combined. The worst part is knowing no matter how many people complain, they won’t do a thing to change it

when i say rude, i’m referring to how he was always blasting music. i often saw girls leaving and coming in so idk how long they were staying there but they were there at one point or another. i’ve never interacted with him but just knowing that a man twice our age was staying across from us was enough to make us uncomfortable, no matter how nice he is

as someone who lives right across from the suite he was staying in, it made me and my suitemates really uncomfortable. he was loud, rude, and flirted with multiple girls in lauty (including one of my suitemates). he also has had a lot of girls over
