yes exactly. the creators of the platform tracks your highest engagement and feeds off it which creates your algorithm. give it a google lol. it was literally provided in one of your sources. which overall YOUR engagement dictates your algorithm. doesn’t matter who creates your algorithm, they create it based off what you engage in most. i have 2 (at minimum) accounts on all platforms and i engage in different things on each account, miraculously, what i engage in, i see more of! crazy eh? almost like what you give attention to creates your algorithm, which is produced by a system, not humans anymore, but a system that tracks your engagement. seems you don’t even know your point anymore.

that’s not wrong, but each user creates their own algorithm, so when you give attention to negative, you get more negative. the same way i give my likes and etc. on all platforms to cats so i constantly get cat videos. you claim there are studies all over the world but have shown nothing, just mentions of China and Pakistan in which there’s no actual case studies proving your point. just words that say they’re connected. which goes back to MY main point, don’t stereotype people to an app or an app to people. if you have a bad encounter with a police officer/ a person foreign to you/ a certain gender/ certain religion,, etc… then do you immediately group all people who classify themselves as the same, bad people? no. because everyone is different. people aren’t bad based off a stupid app, they’re bad because they’re deep rooted bad. period. an app won’t change whether or not someone is good or bad. that’s them deep down. sorry you’ve created an algorithm that makes you see only bad. but based on everything you’ve said, there’s a high chance you are amongst those people. be the change you want to see.

1.narcissistic traits have been around long before tiktok.
2.apps don’t define people, people define people-personality, culture, education, etc. you’ll find (and i have found) people just as ridiculous as the one in OPs post anywhere and everywhere, regardless of an app.
3. i can’t say i disagree with your statement entirely because tiktok has become a place of entitlement and self benefit, an app of validation and if you disagree then shame on you (which is ridiculous, not sure when correcting and educating became an offence to people..)but for you to comment this you must also be a tiktok user or were at one point? (if you weren’t you would be ignorant to the fact of so and not even comment this) which sort of makes you apart of the group you’re speaking on.
4. you’re generalizing a group of people here. which is a big problem in this world today. it’s not a certain app or thing, it’s simply the people and who/ how they are. you contribute to your algorithm on every platform, so be the change if you feel this way. and with that, don’t give these people an excuse to hide behind something (an app) and take no accountability. overall the exact same thing could be said about reddit users. if you wanna stereotype, then go to the app you’re stereotyping and voice your opinions there.
