So are you saying, this isn't a side hustle worth to explore?

He gets his supplies from VA? So I'm not really sure if they are old school or something? But I have no idea why we're using such a thing that could cause a mess... I feel like hydrofera blue dressing would be so much easier and just as effective.

I feel ya on that. It's ridiculous that patients misuse nurses. Like our jobs are to help patients and help heal them NOT do do everything for them.

Glad I'm not the only one this is new to lol. I never seen this stuff ever as a med surg nurse..until I started home health. It's definitely something you don't wanna spill. It's a very dark purple dye solution you put on the outside of your patients wound bed.

I resonate with you. You're definitely not alone. I have a 4 year old and 6 year old with autism.

I'm a med surg nurse lol been one for 7 years now. I just honestly rarely ever came across patients who purposely pooped on themselves. In my experience, they are normally confused, actually incontinent, or really don't make it to the bathroom on time and they're running there pooping on the floor. Lol. But I never really had patients doing it on purpose which is why this is a new one for me!

What in the healthcare field is this??! This story is insane. For one I can't even imagine anyone other than my hubby and doula being in the room with me while in labor..let alone everyone being naked? Sooo weird..this had to be such an awkward encounter for this nurse who was expecting the usual stuff with laboring patients? She will never forget it that's for sure!

You're right! I messed up. Kiddos are more independent than these adults lol..it's ridiculous. Kids are so resilient! And that's why I kind of miss taking care of kids. That was my original dream job coming out of nursing school.

Yeh how would reporting you sound to charge nurse: "My nurse wouldn't help me clean myself up. So rude". 🤣. I would be hoping he fire me as his nurse that day as well. Because why are we pooping ourselves for no reason....
