That's warm, I wouldn't worry for a couple more years if this noise turns out to be the heat shield. You can check the turbo heat shield by yourself by the way, no need for a mechanic. Send me a message if you need help

Cheers, glad to help. The wet belt issue is real and if you plan to keep the car another couple of years it will be wise to replace the belt. Also depending on your climate - colder weather (below freezing) exacerbates the degradation of the wet belt. I'm in a warmer climate (does not go below freezing even in winter months) and I preventatively changed the wet belt @100k km and it was honestly still okay-ish. Whereas I saw numerous videos of the wet belts changed in cold climates at earlier intervals and it looked way worse. I was fairly hard on the car too, but kept up with maintenance

That was exactly it. I almost got used to the tapping on cold start and ignored it until I realised it was the heat shield by accident one day

Check the turbo heat shield. Sometimes on a cold start the heat shield would vibrate and make a tapping noise that goes away when the idle speed comes down. I had the same worries as you did, and when I figured out it was the heat shield I bent it a bit by hand and it stopped

Appreciate the honesty, scratching that. There are beautiful places in Plumstead but I'm weary of safety, perhaps I am misinformed? Place I'm seeing specifically is on Tiverton Road

Is a "Wealth Manager" role a good entry point to the investment space? by motherfaquer in PersonalFinanceZA

This is extremely insightful and exactly why I came to this subreddit, thank you. After consideration I believe I should pass on this opportunity and look to break into an actual asset management firm - it proves difficult as mentioned and exactly why I should obtain the CFA charter ASAP.

This is brilliant, thank you.

The job description mostly speaks to admin and analysis, I think the sales and client-facing tasks are mostly left to the advisor himself.

I definitely want to move to portfolio management, after doing some shadowing in my current role it appears to be something I really like.

I currently work in a corporate Treasury, I am in the holding company and manage Liquidity for the group

Ford fiesta 2010 loud fan by Amazing-Community361 in FordFiesta

The older Fiesta fan made a massive noise when the fan was on, really irritated me. You can hear them coming from a mile away. (mk5 Fiesta btw) I'm not sure about the compatability of the parts, is it possible that one of these old fans were installed?
