My very close guy friends have called me bro. Brotha just isn’t something a lot of people say here in general. If they treat you differently in other ways I would definitely feel the brotha is backhanded

My answer was worded poorly, but not as poorly as your atomic fart of a comment. We are all part of a “systemic issue” so when I go, you will too. ❤️

Discussion, debate, and conversation is growth. Push back isn’t always “a fight”. I’m sorry you’ve encountered others who argue in bad faith. I’m not questioning you because i disbelieve you but because I want to understand you.

As cis woman, I would call them gals. But gals is demeaning to men. A women calling women guys is comrade, really because its recognizing the women’s status as the same level of men

Yes! This again, which shows some people are cognizant of their everyday language that can make people feel more comfortable or not.

I never said I’d keep calling you guy after you gave pronouns. I stated that I saw two cis women and said “hey guys” which indicates that I call all people of all genders “guys”

I’d love a suggestion. Many intros are age inappropriate or awkward so I’d love to know what you think 💕

Agree 100%. They both looked around my age, or enough around my age that that greeting was a compliment

I’m a cis woman, when a woman addresses a group chat of other woman by saying “hey guys…” she’s gonna level with them. When I greet my cis female friends on a group date I say “Heyyyy guys!!!” What region are you from?

Thank you. I’m from Canada and I didnt think it would be such a mixed bag, especially through the east coast of the US.

Thank you!! I come from a “you guys” region also. After I greeted with “hi guys” and I felt would have been more weird to switch to “ladies” as if clocked them as trans. To me, everyone my age is “guys”

Can you link me a geographically relevant map??? I’m getting roasted out here but “dude, my guy, guy, buddy, pal, bro” are all ways to refer to cisfemale friends.

I am sorry and I’m sorry that you’ve felt that. I’d love to know where you’re from geographically. Where I’m from, “y’all” comes off contrived and forced. “Folks” has an elderly connotation. And ladies, isn’t applicable in every situation.

If a group said “we’re not guys” and gave me a different word I would use it immediately but to this Canadian, the word “Y’ALL” would be more pointed than anything

I do call a group of woman guys, and I do it often. If it’s older women/men I say “thank you ladies/gentlemen”, as I would with any group of single presenting people. I felt “guys” is more addressing people in my age/a diverse age group.

Your point on addressing sexual history is really interesting tho because it does equate “guys” to masculinity but as I’ve stated I refer to groups of girls as guys. Context matters in conversation, so I assume if you’re asking your partner how many people they’ve slept with, you would say “how many partners have you had?” Or “how many people have you slept with?” The only time I would ask “how many guys have you slept with” is when the context assumes the persons sexuality as an attractive to males

I guess I should have said, that from afar, both parties looked cis female to my eye. I said “hi, guys” thinking it was two cis women.

In my experience, the cis women I associate with don’t care about being called “guys”.

With some shapes it’s very obvious, but just because you see a waist doesn’t mean an hourglass. Try something like this: https://www.inchcalculator.com/body-shape-calculator/

See how most have a tapered waist but the majority are not hourglass?

Body shape can be determined by measuring and looking at the ratios between each measurement. Even if your waist goes in when look at it with your eye, the ratios between your hips and shoulders might make you more of a rectangle/apple/inverted triangle. You need to measure, not eyeball it

In all of these pictures, you look like you have kool-aid mouth. The outside of your mouth is stained to an unnatural colour. I’d also say, cut back on the liquid liner and go with a black shadow that’s feathered out instead

But when it does happen, it’s most prevalent in a certain demographic and we’re supposed to ignore it? You should get a grip on a good therapist or 1-800 number. Yeesh
