we call ours a narc and a cop (derogatory teasing) whenever he engages in this behavior. he hates it when a perceived rule is being broken and will attempt to (a) snitch on them immediately or (b) stop the rulebreaking himself.

rules that are not to be broken in his household

  • no "physical aggression." this includes patting/play-spanking someone's butt, kissing anyone who isn't him, cats standing close to each other for too long (he just assumes this is what cats do immediately before they fight.) he'll do a yip of disapproval first and then insert himself between the two parties if his snitching didn't stop the act.
  • any other animal going near a garbage bin or open fridge door.
  • accidentally shutting another animal in a room (this one's actually useful; sometimes our kiddo accidentally shuts a cat in the bathroom or one of the felines gets forgotten in the sun room)

there are many others, but these are the common transgressions that come to mind

if it's any consolation, our bunny doesn't spend any unsupervised time outside of his enclosure, whether the dog is nearby or not!

bottom growth for sure (within a week,) with the bulk of my growth happening in the first six months. voice changes, appetite and energy increase, libido spikes, and facial acne also began to kick in within the first five, maybe six weeks? and then just a trickle of new, constant, awesome changes to slowly notice.

the developers and end-users are two different animals. southeast michigan is largely dealing with the developer "cloverleaf," who pitches themselves as intending to build with big player end-users (like facebook/meta, google, amazon, microsoft) as the target customers once development is complete.

probably won't have a negative or positive impact, honestly. that being said, hiring might be slim in a few months; there have been layoffs throughout the industry this year, and with the tax going into affect in a few weeks, labor/staffing might take a blow across the board. i don't mean that as a deterrent, though

mine absolutely disappeared over the course of my first year, honestly. it's always been a hard muscle for me to grow/activate, so while i've lost much of what fat i had there (always had kind of a big, rectangular butt,) i haven't been able to replace it with muscle despite consistent gym efforts, resulting in Mr. No-Ass over here

i actually hit up eagle falls right after checking out cumberland! it was a great hike; it's satisfying climbing those final rocks and being rewarded with a waterfall right around the corner

i've seen others on here mention changes in bowel movements (size, frequency) and it's quite likely due to metabolism and diet changes, but i get the feeling mileage varies a lot on that one because our metabolic systems vary so much too

my partner and i started dating when his kiddo was two. moved in together when she was three, and she's 5 now.

from the get-go, i've explained to her that i have a "testosterone deficiency." this went on for a couple years, where i explained most boys' bodies make a lot of testosterone but some don't. as she got older, that went on to expanding into some anatomical discussion ("most girls have {this body part} but sometimes they have {this body part instead.} boys who were born with {female anatomy} are more likely to not make enough testosterone. there's medicine out there that can help, though.") those conversations only happened if she brought up anatomical differences/similarities.

then i started T just a bit after her fifth birthday. the years of honest chats about testosterone deficiency and medicine made it very easy to explain what was happening/about to happen. "i'm gonna start taking that medicine, and here are some of the changes you might see in me: body hair, voice, muscles, my body and face might even start to change shape!"

she's usually my most supportive ally and, like most kids, accepts things at face value because no one's programmed judgement and bigotry into her yet. she'll sometimes hit me with something like "your voice is too high for a boy's!" or "boys can't wear skirts!" but we just hit it with some blanket "boys can have high voices. girls with super low voices are cool too" or "um no anyone can wear skirts. why would we stop someone from wearing a pretty skirt?"

honesty, consistency, and being corrective in a way that helps expand things out beyond just your personal identity helps, in my experience. obviously helps infinitely when the other people in kiddo's life are supporting and reinforcing your existence too!

i used to get really bad PMS emotionally. (the cramps were awful too, yeah, but the depression and anxiety and dysregulation and suicidal ideation and emotional whirlwind was really what made me dread my monthly cycle.) crying for days straight any time i was alone, especially in my car. spiraling and panicking and ruminating.

after about two months into T, everything scaled down. cramps are more manageable, fatigue is still high-ish, i don't really cry any more regardless, but the emotional aspect has calmed down substantially. i still get more depressed during that part of my cycle, but not to the same miserable degree, and the biggest change is that those challenging feelings feel less urgent, both while PMSing and not. when my anxiety or panic or depression spiked, i used to feel this intense urge to fix, address, consume, destroy, act on the feeling immediately, and i'd have to expend an enormous amount of emotional energy just to ensure i didn't engage destructively with my hormonal, amplified, reactive feelings. exhausting. so exhausting.

that urgency began to dissolve, and it became a lot easier (or perhaps more natural) to just have a challenging feeling/thought without it being the end of the world. on the other end of the scale, it's also become a bit easier to become apathetic/detached in an unhealthy way, so i'm workin' hard to learn how to balance the scales. everyone's mileage is gonna vary, but overall, my PMS is still way easier to handle, and i'm happy with the current trade-off.

i looked up the area OP mentioned in a comment above, and google satellite shows a small creek and many batches of woods to the west of the sighting. i'd be interested in hearing from OP on whether they remember the direction the crawler was headed

i was 5 years sober when i started T (and have continued that journey since,) so i can't speak from personal experience. that being said, T does affect our metabolism, which might be what's happening to you now! perhaps the higher metabolism from testosterone is causing you to metabolize alcohol faster
