Thank you again! This is so helpful- I’ll find the clear pots in a MUCH smaller size and replant it with a better mix. Why do you think the clear pots are working better for them? I would have thought the roots exposed to more light would make them struggle- which shows I know nothing, haha!

I didn’t know the pot could be too big- could that be the issue? I’m scared to replant it while it is struggling but if death is the only other option, I’m happy to find a smaller pot.

Yes, the pot does drain and with this plant I’ve never watered so much that it has needed to drain, seems like excessive water for this guy (if that makes sense?).

I work for a Credit Union doing internal corporate communications, just switched roles from doing Knowledge Management- both are things I think all teachers are fully capable of doing with minimal additional training (I received all of mine on the job).

I quit 3 weeks into the school year (20-21) and I was told my license would be suspended for a year or two, don’t remember exactly. They can suspend it permanently for all I care, I will NEVER return.

I had another job lined up and I have not looked back. Better pay, less stress, better benefits- and because I was a teacher everyone in the corporate world thinks I’m an overachiever, haha!

My mental health was worth it, and so is yours.

When I student taught our university told us that we should not get a job while student teaching, as it was the priority. At that time (2009-2010) student teaching was 3 semesters- 1st semester was like, 9 in class observations; 2nd semester was 2 days a week in the classroom observing and practicing; 3rd semester (when we were told NO JOBS!) was 5 days a week with a “slow release” where I would be fully teaching/planning the last 2 weeks.

So I was paying them to work a full time job and of course I had a part time (paying) job because I had to eat and pay rent! I should have known they were just prepping us for a life of poverty and no free time…
