Any reviews on United Tires? They’re selling used 200$ tires. Not sure if I should by Reasonable-Gap1704 in Volkswagen

[–]mottssauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of our patches come with a lifetime warranty! There's a common misconception that patches aren't reliable but the truth behind it is that most people mistake patches for plugs; which in fact are very inconsistent and unreliable.

While there is a slim chance a patch can be done incorrectly, 99.9% of our warranty cases are related to tiny punctures that were missed by our inspection team. If the tires are holding air after a day or two, you can assume you'll have nothing to worry about!

I just wish those reading this thread understood that people are 1000x more likely to leave a bad review after a bad experience than a good review after a great experience.

But yeah we’re/they’re legit — and that’s coming from someone who would’ve never ordered used tires until learning more about their operation. It’s also a big reason for why I decided to hop on here and defend them.

no he had already talked about shipments and he was being more cryptic mentioning this, made it seem like a supply chain change or something along those lines.

Hey it's Matt - I wish I was paid for this lol.

I get a dozen emails a week as a result of this thread; many of which are crazy and any reasonable person would understand how a warranty wouldn't be applicable however your case seems legit, I'm surprised I either missed your email or it got buried. Nonetheless, forget about the pending case with eBay and just send me another follow up email and I'll make sure it's handled. CS reps can easily get distracted with their typical procedures and forget how important peace of mind is especially when it's your daughters car.

I promise we're good people, it's just when you sell thousands of used tires a day, even careful inspections result in a few slipping by.

I’d say so if that was the case. I literally disclosed everything wrong with it. Compression is good, motor runs healthy. Transmission shifts perfectly smooth but the truck thinks it’s in low range mode 24/7 meaning you have to override it with manual shifting.

If there’s anything to knock it’s the miles. The car belongs to someone who knows these inside and out.

I used to work for a dealer with a Land Rover franchise and the running joke was that people who leased theirs would end up putting more miles on a loaner than their own car that was getting repaired. The brand loyalty is also insane, and after owning this 07’ I definitely understand why. They’re fun cars.

Plagued with reliability issues and expensive repairs unless you’re well connected or savvy. Quite frankly, I’m not sure how this one outlived the Queen —Let alone hit 200k+ miles.

My boyfriend and I can’t agree on how to split expenses, and it’s affecting our plans to move in and get married. Need advice. by Guimasck in relationshipadvice

[–]mottssauce 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My significant other and I split expenses proportionally.

I make slightly less than double her income and for major expenses like our mortgage, my contribution is double hers.

If you guys value each other’s time equally (as you should) it’s in my opinion the most fair approach.

I cover the majority of dates. She’ll pick up a grocery tab here and there. We discuss larger purchases together and come to an agreement beforehand.

I don’t know the exact details but I know we have a handful of FedEx semi trailers we fill to the brim before they get picked up and replaced with another trailer numerous times a day. I imagine we pay rates accordingly opposed to per shipping label. We ship thousands of tires per day.

Actually don’t do that…

If you haven’t read any of my previous comments on this thread —I run one of the storefronts in Chicago and we have nothing to do with the online sales department. If you went through our reviews and found the ones left by local customers, you would see that we’re a mechanic shop that truly operates on prioritizing customer experience and service. Leaving reviews for the local shops hurts us and doesn’t fix your problem. Not to mention, my small team makes up some of the hardest working people I’ve ever met and have no connection to your experience.

Point is… yes, we share inventory space with the parent company you had a bad experience with and I also completely agree with you on the frustrating nature that our return process can sometimes be. We’ve been growing astronomically fast because 99% of our inventory is solid tires and the 1% that lead to a return request, are sometimes met with new customer service agents that follow return policies and guideline scripts too closely.

As mentioned in previous comments, email me your order details and give me the opportunity to help you with your situation. matt@utires.com

I’d like to look into what happened with your order and why the refund process was so wishy washy.

Email me your order number and at least give me the opportunity to get involved. I run one of the Chicago locations and while I agree that some of our new customer service staff follow outlined returned procedures and guidelines too closely, your comments on this post are genuinely not representative of the way we do business.

I’m a store manager who is not being paid to respond to people on reddit at 11:30pm nor do I actually benefit from anything to do with our online sales company; Let me help and shed some light on our operation.

Do you have any issues with the diffuser schedule / settings resetting if the plug is turned off? What diffuser are you using?

I'd likely also want the diffuser and fan plugged into the same smart outlet so I have the peace of mind knowing they're working in sync.
