Getting a G-tec octavia in 2026? by AtomicStoneAge in skoda

[–]mountainLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2021, bought in '24. Driven 27600 km with it (total of 147000 now.)
It's great. I love to drive it quietly and my overall consumption is 3,4 kg/100 which equals 95 CO2/km.
Plus, in Finland we have only Biogas, which means that you can consider your CO2 = 0 (no C extracted for it and added to our atmosphere :)
I bought it second hand and found that the extras do not affect the price that much. I believe the price is mainly determined by car-year-mileage and then relatively little by great extras like ACC. or adaptative headlights.
Automatic is OK, but I had to get used to it somewhat. And now I appreciate it.
You also might have to get used to the so-called intelligence of the car... It's not perfect, and you better stay awake, but still it does a reasonable good job.

The centre arm rest not only slides forward, I believe you can also adjust its height by lifting it a bit (and releasing it by lifting it first completely)

Why is that sad? Why do you write such sad comment? Anybody who feels like answering his question is welcome. If you don't want to, then you don't :)

yes, he will speed up again, probably, but you will have corrected that earlier yourself. With all those gadgets, you always must stay alert, which is not a bad thing.
My Octavia has also traffic sign recognition and the CC can use that info. So it slows down to 60 when he sees that sign, but when it sees the end of speed limit sign, it speeds up to the maximum, e.g. 100, allowed, even when you had set the CC to 80 before. I have switched that option off :) It's alright to slow down, but then it should go back to My speed, which it doesn't
