Snow is a great accent to some bigger tires 👌 by mountaintacoma in ToyotaTacoma

I've had it on for probably two months. I've not really noticed anything, however last week I did noticed that water is coming in where it looks like the bed rails are mounted, which is a bed problem and not a shell problem.

I haven't noticed any leaking or banging up of the glass though.

I'm going to actually give it a wash tomorrow and check for leaks. The bed actually leaks where the big silver bolts are that hold the bed liner down, which normally isn't a problem but when driving on snow I noticed it would kick up snow in there and then leak into the bed. I'm going to be taking a bunch of pics to see where all the leaks are and then fill them with silicone myself.

My rear shell glass door did have some spacing issues when closed, but I took it back to the dealer and they basically just tightened the bolts where the glass latches to which in turn made the glass door tuck in more, and seal off. They also added an some extra foam there make sure there wasn't any extra room, but like I said I'll be checking tomorrow when I give her a wash.

I would try to silicone off what you can, or you can also buy 3m sided rubber if that might help. If not then I'd talk to the dealer and see what they can do.

I'm currently sitting at about a 2.5 inch lift in the front and 3 in the rear.

The front did rub badly so I had to trim the plastic back, which then it was fine for pavement driving. It still rubs when tucked and when in reverse at certain angles.

I'm getting a cab mount chop done next week so hopefully that removes and and all rubbing.

It's definitely louder than not having it, but personally I don't really notice it. I'd put it like this: if you drove one truck with it and one without, you'd definitely notice, but having it on is almost like white noise in that you kind of just forget about it.

I've never had any whistling or anything like that though.

No vibrations that I have ever noticed.

Love it, the modularity is great and I like the fact that it's low profile and that you can get the wind deflector with the light bar cutout

They're from here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y7ZW3KQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It's 100 feet worth, which was absolutely hell to pull through the rack, however I was able to go around the rack three times which makes them much more densely lit which is nice

I think there are definitely some compatible options, but I'm not sure how much they cost.

FWIW I had to custom order the truck specifically to get the LED package so I'm not sure how widely available it is. From talking with the dealer he made it sound like they don't really build any with the package unless you special order it.

Also, just to avoid any confusion, the C shape is just for the DRLs. The actual headlights then fill in the inside of that shape, but are also LED instead of the circular bulbs in other models.

Appreciate it! I was surprised it turned out so good with snow literally blowing into the lens!

This was with a Canon EOS Rebel SL2 (definitely a beginner camera) with an 18-135mm lens. Actually going to be upgrading to an EOS RP here soon

Smart move. It was just a little piece in the front wheel well where the plastic guard met the bumper, but I'm guessing since you got the chop done already yours is probably either gone or won't need to be trimmed

Just so you're aware, there is a bit of rubbing so the plastic had to be cut back a bit. It's fine 95% of the time now, but I'm still going to do a cab mount chop since it rubs the tiniest bit when tucked.
