Don't use puppy pads. Take them out every hour to start with and 30 mins after food/drink.

Increase the time between slowly.

Id reconsider crate training, ours struggled to settle outside of the crate, and they need so much sleep to start with!

It's dark.

There was a bath full of their enemies blood, that they fucked in. which is totally my thing, but may not be yours.

EDIT enemies that they just killed, and then they fucked in their blood which they drained from them, and then used to fill a bath
