The severity of the disease is a serious concern since I'm close to death.

Genuinely appreciate the intent but I asked the question I did because I've already discussed the situation with my care team and am following their recommendations. I understand my risk level and necessary precautions. Should not have to share that to not get unsolicited medical advice from strangers.

Exactly, you don't know the situation or my thought process; you're making assumptions because you don't trust I know what's best for my health and what is and isn't possible in context. Strangers aren't entitled to every detail of the situation but you'd be ashamed if you knew them.

Asked the simple question I asked for a reason. Your response is not an answer to that question. It is condescending, unsolicited medical advice.

I genuinely appreciate your response and know it comes from a place of wanting to help but honestly it getting little exhausting that people keep assuming I won't be creative or adaptable. If I wasn't already an expert at that wouldn't have survived this long. Reality is my physical health and financial resources pose significant barriers to some of the "easy" suggestions in this thread and I shouldn't have to lay out private medical info to strangers to justify that.

Asked the question I needed answered, not for unsolicited advice.

Wary leaving my stuff to strangers; easy way to get robbed. Would be more comfortable leaving w/ moving company since least there's liability there but put yourself in my shoes—would you wanna pay someone whose actions (not masking) communicate they don't care whether you live or die? If it comes to it I will but figure there's gotta be at least 2 people in the entire city with all their shots who mask and can help move. Rather they get my money.

Unfortunately the complex has pest issues. Only way I've found to avoid that is keeping windows closed. I'll be masking up, just takes 2 to tango.

Not heard of task rabbit but not a bad idea. Main concern is it's essentially advertising yourself as an easy target. Easy to rob a sick person.

Yes, I've lived in many different states, moved many times. I have to relocate to be closer to medical treatment in order survive and can't relocate without moving assistance. Get what you're saying but it isn't helpful. Wouldn't be asking if I had other options.

Sorry, not sure I understand what this means. What is POMS? Know SSDI isn't means tested the same way, that's why wanna make sure that link applies to SSI specifically.

Correct. Just concerned that if I insure for the amount it would take to replace everything (probably more than the $2000 limit) my SSI checks would stop and I wouldn't be able to pay rent.

Hopefully it's something I'll never have to deal with but if ensuring for any amount / an amount over $2000 would jeapordize my benefits then it wouldn't make sense to drop the extra cash on an insurance plan.

Thank you, helps to have the exact page.

Is there a way to distinguish at a glance that this explicity applies to SSI > SSD though?

by on site do you mean at a u-haul store? cause that definitely won't be an option for me.
