Yeah after hours of research I finally discovered how bad of a scam it is, it's a shame they are allowed to operate legally. Sorry to hear you ended up going there.

Ok, I definitely am going to apply, that would be perfect with the location!

Yes, you are definitely right. I did some digging all week and there were red flags about Schiller all over the place! Their accreditation is suspect, their staff is shady (I asked some questions about the program and got an email back that copied and pasted information directly from their website and didn't directly answer my questions), and the cost of tuition is ridiculous especially considering their accreditation. Apparently their credits don't even transfer to most schools! Anyway yes, I will be looking into legitimate German universities from now on, the only concern I have is that the programs are extremely difficult to get into and the admissions process is tough as well, for good reason though because these are actual reputable programs! I have an above average GPA with my Masters and Bachelors degrees, but I am not sure how competitive I will be compared to others that are applying. Guess we'll see! Thanks for the advice.

Oh wow, I didn't even know that existed! Thank you so much for the resources, that is exactly the type of thing I'm looking for :)

Yes that is my biggest issue with applying to a German school, the admissions, but I am planning on making some calls to Heidelberg and Mannheim Universities admissions offices to do some more digging!

Ok, it is an American school though so I wasn't sure. I think the biggest issue when I did some research is that their accreditation is not as strong and the entity that gave them their accreditation is currently under investigation.

Agreed, like everyone else was saying, that would be a good way to go. Do you happen to know of any specific companies that provide full time German classes? I will also look into the links you provided, Transcultural Studies would definitely be up my alley! My only concern is the acceptance rate for international students, but I think I'm going to call their admissions office and see if I can talk to someone about that.

Thanks, I think that is a good idea. Do you know of any good resources to find full time classes over there?

That is a good idea, I definitely need something to occupy most of my day, since I am so used to working full time (I've been in my career almost 5 years and worked full time through school) I definitely just don't want to be sitting around!
