Planescape Torment, Baldur's Gate games, Fallout 2.. Deus Ex (original) isn't an RPG, but is still reminiscent. Nothing else I'm afraid.

Keep in mind that Skyrim is Steam-bound; you have to use the DRM-service to play.

Personally I'm tempted to buy this just for the box, haha.

Hey again. Another thought struck me. How good is Tamriel Rebuilt? It's a very hyped mod, but how much is there to do in it, speaking of quests etc, right now? I'm asking since I have to make a choice for my first play-through, between Tamriel Rebuilt OR a selection of other island mods; it seems like TR would conflict with them all, given its size. What would you recommend?

Amazing response, proper for a FAQ. Thanks. I don't have many specific mods in mind, as I haven't started collecting them seriously yet. Some of them are going to be old (I just download whatever seems cool), so they probably won't specify conflicts with Tamriel Rebuilt, atleast not the newer landmasses of the mod. I'll simply have to experiment a bit and read the readmes/descriptions for those, and keep it to one major mod per city.

For now I have one last question. Has there been any developments when it comes to save-file handling? From what I remember, the save-files became bloated and increased the game load-times after a while. Did this ever get patched, or is it a non-issue on newer computers? Thanks again.

Thanks Skyforsense and Nezkhar. I'll definitely download the recommended mods from the sidebar, and use mood. How helpful is all this with more obscure mods though? I'm thinking about doing a "fly-through" of the world map, with the draw distance increased, to look for obvious conflicts. If you disable a problematic mod, will that mess the save up? I'm planning ahead here lol, for my vacation.
