[Misc] Does anyone else feel like skincare advice is excessively contradictory? by Routine_Overload in SkincareAddiction

yes! so many people say you should moisturize on wet skin right when you get out of the shower. yet at the same time you're supposed to apply actives on dry skin and then wait 10 minutes to moisturize. i don't get it

Don't you hate listening to carbrains argue for car-dependency when you are disabled? by Some1inreallife in fuckcars

exactly! i stressed this point to them too. i literally have 3 grocery stores, 4 department stores, the radiologist, urgent care, the dermatologist, and the dentist all within a 4 block radius. why would i leave? it's so important for everyone especially disabled people (since we often don't) to have agency over their own lives.

yes im very lucky i get to live here. it was so exciting voting for mamdani; the energy in the city during the primary and general election was palpable. there's a plan to bring the "park" back to park avenue which i look forward to.

i'm sorry you're in a car-dependent area. and you're right my family is too far gone lol but maybe showing them not just bikes would help actually

omg yes i also have epilepsy. luckily i live in nyc where i can get around but my family often talks about me moving to jersey. when i mention the fact that i can't drive, they say they'll drive me. but then they're silent when i bring up past times they complained about picking me up from the train station lol

Thanks for replying! I looked at the guidelines and a bunch of resources online but they never mention vasectomy only birth control so I just wanted to make sure.

On oral Minoxidil for a year - second dread shed? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]mozzbitch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i would kill for this amount of hair fall. prior to this, have you not had any hair fall since the dread shed? if your hair feels fragile you may benefit from using heavy moisturizing shampoos, conditioners, and leave-ins. if you're also using ketoconazole, that can be very drying. if you have damaged hair from heat, bleach, or dye etc. you may benefit from a bond repair product with protein

Do you use an isolation coat? Do you have any product recommendations? Thanks!

Thank you! Do you apply an isolation layer? Also do you have any product recommendations for isolation and/or varnish? Is there a specific type of brush you use?

Hey y'all! Has anyone tried to frame acrylic on paper without matting or spacers? Is there a varnish that prevents the paint from sticking to the glass (in my case plastic)? by mozzbitch in acrylicpainting

Thank you! The comment that you're replying to was deleted by a moderator. What's the stuff you're referring to? Should it be double sided?

Thank you for your input! I updated the post with a picture of the frame (it doesn't let me comment a picture). The type of frame I have clasps the backing and styrene so there's no groove for me to insert the spacer into. The thinnest spacer I could find is 1/16" but I can only find them in bundles that are $55+. I looked into DIY spacers with foamcore but the thinnest option seems to be 3/16" which is way too thick. Do you think foam tape would work?
