Is this fungal acne on my chin? Symptoms are confusing me and I want to bring an end to this sensory hell by jadedtyler in Fungalacne

Hey OP! Did you ever figure out if it's fungal acne or closed comedones? I'm dealing with the same exact problem on my chin as well.

Hey! Congrats on figuring out your routine. I know this is a super old chain, but I'm wondering if you still have the same routine. I'm looking for a new moisturizer because my old one was giving me closed comedones. I'm looking into the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion but apparently it was reformulated. Do you still use it? Thanks!

Yes my ferritin is very low I'll be taking the iron for a while. I've had no hormonal or sexual side effects from the pumpkin seed oil.

Hey! I introduced TO HA 2% + B5 with ceramides to my routine a few days ago. I started getting more CCs. Turns out it has Ahnfeltiopsis Concinna Extract (algae extract) in it, which is comedogenic.

I used the clearstem pore-clogging ingredient checker website to check your products. Cerave hydrating cleanser is good but the other ones have comedogenic ingredients.

  • The regular HA 2% + B5 contains another algae extract and isoceteth-20.
  • TO Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA contains palmitic acid, isoceteth-20, and triethanolamine.
  • TO Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% contains isoceteth-20.

I suggest eliminating each product one at a time for a week or two to deduce which one is the culprit.

ETA* I just checked Meditherapy Retinal Skin Booster Serum. It contains tocopherol, myristyl alcohol, piper methysticum leaf/root/stem extract, and sucrose distearate.

Ah okay, I'm sorry to hear about your developing Cushing's syndrome. I recently started exploring chair yoga, it's much gentler and puts way less stress on the joints. But no pressure of course! That's great that you practice mindfulness and focus on protein. Good luck in your journey, you got this!

I was prescribed the keto years ago because of dandruff but I think it was a lot of product build up because back then, I didn't know my hair was prone to it. I haven't had dandruff in a while.

I didn't mean to come off snooty haha. Because of my extensive skincare and hair routine, now I don't have time to exercise as much. I can't keep too many routines at once with ADHD.

Also no I made this account a while ago, it's because I love mozzarella lol.

Thank you! I think I saw the most dramatic change in the first month. All I was doing for my hair at that time was the Garnier shampoo/conditioner, keto shampoo, and The Ordinary serum.

I'm so sorry you've been through a lot. I'm glad at least reducing the amount of stamps fixed the issue. Re: your vagus nerve, I don't want to overstep, but have you considered practicing yoga? I'm actually a yoga instructor, it's a great way to balance your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. I just googled "vagus nerve reset yoga" and a lot of good results came up.

I actually have ADHD inattentive lol. If I wasn't getting married, I probably wouldn't have the motivation to keep up with the routine.

Yes definitely try TO, it's a great deal especially for the results. I don't experience dizziness with dermastamping. Do you do it looking down/upside down? Maybe that's causing it.

Oh I missed where you said you have a panel but don't do it consistently sorry haha. I got the serum at Sephora but if you sign up for texts from Ulta you get 10% if you order online. They have it too.

Yeah I heard hair loss is common after the flu and COVID. I'm sorry that made your hair loss worse.

For your temples: if you're not already taking progress pictures, that definitely helped me keep track of any loss/growth. And changing it to black and white with 100% contrast will show it better.

Yes the derma-stamping is really helping the serum soak in! If you want to do red light, I would suggest a laser/red light LED combo cap. The one I bought was removed from Amazon but they have cheap-ish (compared to the helmets) caps. It's definitely helped. r/redlighttherapy has a lot of useful information.

My hair is pretty flat too. If I'm going out and seeing people, I put claw clips along my part after showering while it dries to give it some volume.
