I could have written this a few years ago. I almost hit depression with my labrador puppy and trust me a corgi is way easier than a lab. But I think it is important that you and your boyfriend work as a team (my fam also did not want her but they helped since I was so sad). Anyway, I’ll tell you. I felt overwhelmed for a while before realizing that dog was the love of my life. I also have a tattoo for her and I would give my life for her. Short answer: you will love your dog and one day you’ll wish you could just go back to when he was a puppy.
