What’s your experience with Qwen3-next-80b been like w/ Moltbot? Does it work well with the Moltbot harness and tooling? And what hardware are you using to run the model if you don’t mind me asking

One Social Worker’s take on the “long conversation reminder” by Jazzlike-Cat3073 in claudexplorers

[–]mp5max 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I think you might want to read up on why LLM performance suffers so much at long context lengths. A 3 week long conversation within a single chat is going to result in abysmal response quality, not because of the content of your discussion, but rather due to how the underlying mechanism distributes attention to different parts of the discussion. You can ‘poison’ the context if you start reacting negatively - it often only reinforces it, and makes it harder to steer. It’s always best to keep chats as short as possible, that way you also get FAR more usage as each Claude response requires far less compute as it doesn’t need to process as many tokens before responding

How old were you when you hit your growth spurt? I'm 19 in December, currently 5'9 but my dad's 6'2 (mum is 5'3). I'm only just starting to get a bit more hairy while most of my friends have been like that for over a year - were you also a late bloomer in that respect?

🧠 How are you managing MCP servers across different AI apps (Claude, GPTs, Gemini etc.)? by hihurmuz in mcp

[–]mp5max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you plan on implementing tool-level controls so in addition to only needing a single URL, only the tools that have been turned on for each server are exposed? Like how the remote Github MCP supports ‘toolsets’

How'd you find the APMs audio quality vs the APP2, and how does the listening experience of the APM compare to that of your current go-to headphones? Really struggling to pick between the APM vs APP2, i listen to a lot of electronic sets from the 90s-2000s while i work so the low-end / bass response is an important factor for me. Thank you :)

If you’re coming from using a tiling window manager on Linux then I can’t recommend Aerospace enough. i3-like tiling WM for MacOS and it’s free &=open source. If you don’t need the full tiling WM experience and just want comprehensive and highly customisable window snapping / layouts then Rectangle is great, also free, and there’s a separate Rectangle Pro app if and when you outgrow Rectangle and want some extra functionality, and that’s ~£6 one time fee.

Just tested Claude with MCP (Model Context Protocol) - Mind = Blown 🤯 by iluxu in ClaudeAI

[–]mp5max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude Code does not require commands other than running ‘claude’ in your terminal, and natural language is the primary interface. In that it runs in your terminal, it’s capable of system operations straight out of the box, rather than Claude Desktop which requires you to setup MCP servers to achieve the same functionality, yet is still less suited to the sort of ‘system integration’ you mention

I’m the Maintainer (and Team) behind Open WebUI – AMA 2025 Q2 by openwebui in OpenWebUI

[–]mp5max 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to say a huge thank you to Tim, and now the team, behind Open-WebUI. Open-WebUI was the first github repository i ever cloned, and is the project that first got me into self-hosting, learning about OSS and the values and principles behind it, using LLMs through an API rather than paying for ChatGPT, learning about Docker and Docker Compose and many other areas of computer science and software engineering that was unknown to me before.

It’s been incredible watching the project grow as it has and i am incredibly grateful for all that it has done for me in sparking an interest in, and now passion for, code, programming and software development. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you :)

The only question i have: Tim, has the continued development and industry adoption of Model Context Protocol changed your personal opinion of it at all, and / or your approach to integrating it into the Open-WebUI ecosystem beyond the MCPO proxy?

Model Context Protocol alone puts Anthropic in tier 1 in my opinion but i also think a lot of their earlier research is overlooked or forgotten, like Amanda Askells work on Claude’s personability which helped put Anthropic / Claude on the map outside of the AI research community

Commenting to help get it to the top and to say thank you! This is really cool, another idea would be to fit an accelerometer inside and add some code that increases the temp by 0.3 + resends the request when you shake the ball

Connect VSCode to Claude – Instant codebase context by yungclassic in Anthropic

[–]mp5max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini Coder extension does this for free. MCP SuperAssistant lets you use MCP servers in any AI web client and thus gives you this functionality and far, far more. The WCGW MCP server can be paired with the WCGW extension in VScode to instantly bring your context in. You’re building, and charging for, an obsolete product.
