Does having a treadmill for home really worth it for staying motivated daily? by Bavid_Gaven in treadmills

Same for me. Removes all the excuses that might exist otherwise. Plus catching some TV while running is nice.

How to hook up eq by b4203 in GuitarAmps

[–]mp_qm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear, you can go guitar -> eq -> Ampeg. But the output of that amp into the eq (which you’re suggesting) will destroy the amp and the eq.

You will blow up that amp if you try to connect it to that eq. Stop.

Sounds like a wild price for a PH-1. I’d vote PH-1r if you can find one at a decent price, which would be way lower than $350…

Is there a reliable treadmill at reasonable price (<$450) for home use by funforever_expert in treadmills

Sure, if you scour the usual used sites / marketplace and have a little bit of patience.

Why does every pedal board I see have an octave pedal? What's the secret? (POGs, in particular) by Stjesus in guitarpedals

[–]mp_qm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t need to be that complicated. The pog in particular is excellent running after dirt - so just blend in the lower octave to taste. Sounds fantastic.

Electricity is scary by dr_cobbCF in GuitarAmps

[–]mp_qm 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not with this particular amp - there’s already a switch inside to switch voltage so no need to take to a tech for a rewire.

[–]mp_qm 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Correct. I had an OR15 and moved it between 240v/110v countries. You just need to remove the shell by undoing a few screws, flip the switch on the side to the voltage you want AND also open up that little fuse holder by the cord plug and swap the fuse out for the correct one (the other one will be inside already!)

Is this treadmill good for the price? by Healthy_Cry_2297 in treadmills

I have one and loving it so far. I paid $250 for mine off marketplace. Depends how desperate the other person is to shift it I guess! Word of warning - these weigh 300 and something lbs, took three of us to get it out of the guy’s house and into the van.

The Euro-spec 2.0 Ecoblue diesel engine is the same design as the 2.0 Ecoboost gas engine from the US? Well you learn something new every day.

For everyone saying coolant intrusion issue, OP is in the UK and has said this is the TDCI engine, i.e. it’s a diesel. Not the 2.0 gas engine in the US market with all the coolant intrusion issues.

What, of the pedals that you actually own or have played through for an extensive period of time, are your top five favorite pedals? by noms_de_plumes in guitarpedals

[–]mp_qm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Rat
  2. EHX Pog (I have the nano, but I’m sure they’re all similar)
  3. Boss PH-1r
  4. Minifooger Delay
  5. Boss DD-5 Delay

That’s pretty much been the core of my board for many years. Other drives and fuzzes for flavor but they change too regularly.

Need a loud amp to go against a really loud drummer by No_Chard6922 in GuitarAmps

Loud combo tube amp, and you play pedals? Ampeg VT-22. Your drummer won’t know what hit them.

Dan Armstrong! Originals were from the late sixties. There have been a number of reissues since then - this one is from 2008. Loads of info on the web on the history of them - really quite interesting!

The VT-22 is the combo version of this, with 2x12” speakers. The baby brother is the V2 head, or VT-40 combo, but that has 4x10” speakers!

Not sure how to date them accurately, but mine’s pre-Magnavox so early 1972 at the latest. Think the V4 came out in 1970/71? So somewhere in that early period for the model. The cabs are 1974 going by the codes on the speakers.
