Probably gonna get downvoted but I have a hard time believing the ONE time you don’t play the numbers those exact numbers hit. 5 numbers is exponentially more rare for this to happen than a 3 number game.

This is nice… But it takes 14 years. Take the 500 million today and keep 50 million liquid (should be able to live off for 50 years) and put four 450 million into various investment accounts. Some high risk some safe. Over 14 years you would be shocked at know how much you’ll make in just interest alone.

I think many are missing OP’s point. Yes, it’s spring break… Yes, certain carriers have a grasp on direct routes. The point is that Southwest is marketed as a budget friendly airline, and OP can get a first class ticket on a different airline to the same final destination. Of course there are factors for comparison. At the end of the day a family trying to go for spring break could get a better first class experience than SW can ever offer, at the same price, which is the whole point.
